Glad to see that there will be a new wave pool for KI Soak City next year. The current water park lacks the excessive seating and overall capacity. I don't know about the theme change though. I really liked the Australian theme; rather than Soak City's generic Adventure Cove/Caribbean theme.
Love the water park expansion. Boomerang Bay was always overcrowded. Still would love to see a swim up bar like Bubbles at Cedar Point's Soak City. That's where we spend most of our time. Nothing better than kicking back with an adult beverage on a hot summer day and no kids running all over the place.

I don't think Kings Island has made an official announcement yet one way or the other.

Guess I'm just feeling particularly ticked at the man on this day (or yesterday, I guess now).

Have the lawsuits for Son of Beast ended yet? Just wondering if that's what's holding them back from deciding when they're going to remove/renovate Son of Beast.
I thought the last cases were settled out of court over the summer. I could be wrong though.

I like the addition except for the name change. I like the names of the things at Cedar Point, but like uniqueness to parks too. Boomerang Bay was themed and a bit different than you would expect things at Cedar Point. I don't like using the Soak City name there, especially since it doesn't even match the model of other uses of the name which are all seperate gate parks.
I haven't been to KI's water park since Water Works, so I didn't realize the overcrowding issue. If the crowds were a problem, then this expansion was the right thing to do.
I hope the expansion paves the way for a water coaster in the future. Though I've never been on one, Holiday World's look like a blast.
