KI & CP

We are going to King's Island for 2 whole days followed by Cedar Point for 3 whole days. We "tailgate" in the parking lot when we need a snack/drink. For dinner, we like a nice, sit down meal. One of the days at KI we are going to do the Backyard BBQ meal. Since we've never been to KI before, do they have a restaurant that is like Game Day Grill at CP? We would like something similar to that for dinner on Day 2. Thank you! :)

If you like bbq I would suggest famous daves.

It wouldn't be very Negligent of me to spell my name correctly.

I suggest no bbq and stuff your face with Skyline!

KI only has one real sit-down restaurant (where you have a server) that I can think of, and even that is just a buffet. La Rosa's Pizza or Skyline are good choices though.

When you live where
a skyline is just a distant memory, it is always a good choice. Lol. Dont forget a cooler chest and ice to bring much of it back for the next few days! Mm mm good.

I have to drive through Cincinnati on my way up to Cedar Point from Nashville.

I have heard nothing but good things about Skyline Chili. Is it worth making an extra stop on my way through?

Yes. I grew up in Cincinnati. It's definitely a different kind of chili, but it's amazing. Go there and get cheese coneys with everything.

As far as Kings Island's food selection, there's a buffet place in Rivertown right next to Diamondback, and there's also a sit-down LaRosa's pizzeria between Beast and Vortex. But in terms of a place like Gameday Grill (with tv's and such), you might have to leave the park, unfortunately.

I know the weather here in northern Ohio can be wonky, but I'd love to see Cedar Point open earlier like Kings Island. Even for just the weekends.

I'm pretty sure the issue is staffing, as a good chunk of CP's staff is college students working over summer. Most colleges don't get out until early- to mid-May.

^Bingo. Look at the last 10 years or so of CP opening days. I'll guarantee you that every time it's the week after most of the colleges that run on semesters have their exams/graduation.
