Kalamazoo to Cedar Point

I am planning to taking a trip to the point on Tuesday August 12 and was wondering what the best route would be from Kalamazoo Mi. Mapquest suggests taking I-94 East to I-69 South to I80/I90 East to Sandusky in which the estimated trip time is 3.5 hours. Is there a better/faster route to take and does anyone knows if it truly takes 3.5 hours?

Thanks

Try using google maps and drag the line around. I've noticed before that it takes the quickest route, even if there is a shorter route that only takes a few minutes longer (according to their speed calculations).

That sounds like it is probably the most efficient route though, so I doubt you'll find much better.

If you want to save tolls, take 94 to 23 to 475 to 75N to 280S to OH-2.

From I-69 to Sandusky you will spend approx 5.00 each way on tolls. 3.5 hours is probably about right. From South Bend to the Soak City lot at CP, it takes me about 3h 15m without traffic or construction, and I am on the toll road/turnpike the whole way...
