Kalahari Condo Ownership

I have tried to look all over PB and the internet about this and can't find anything. Kalahari Kondominiums they offer where you can buy them for a bit of cash. After that you can choose to let them rent your condo out for a 50-50 split on profits. Has anyone ever looked into, done or know one that has done this? From the info they sent out it looks like it could work out to be a good deal. On the other hand a fair amount of strings attached.

Sounds like a pretty awesome deal if you've got that kind of money, but I doubt anyone here will have much info for you. You'd probably have to contact Kalahari directly.

Thanks I did contact them and with the info they sent after paying a mortgage on it you still make 70 grand a year on it. According to their figures of course. Figured it may have been a long shot asking on here, I know for one I don't have the money to do so. It does seem like a cool deal.

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Granted, I haven't really looked into this so I can't say for sure, but 70 grand a year for doing nothing sounds along the same lines as the scams that supposedly pay 7 grand a month from "working at home." There might be maintenance fees and such that eat up your profit quickly too. And don't forget taxes you'll be paying on the property whether it's rented out or not.

What are the up front costs and strings attached that you speak of? I'm kind of curious, but not curious enough to send away for a packet and have them calling me all the time. :)

^ I am pretty sure Kalahari was advertising these condos the last time I was out in Sandusky. It was on the huge LED board if I remember.
