Just thought of something

I don't know why I just thought of this, but I have never seen any drinking straws (accept in the special refill cups) at Cedar Point. What's the reason for this?

More trash on the ground. There is no need for them.

No need? Blasphemy. I find that not having a straw makes it entirely too difficult to consume my favorite beverage without getting a mouthful of ice in my mouth. Unacceptable.

HAHA this is going to be a good topic it will get off track but i agree with 99er more trash to clean up KEEP CEDAR POINT CLEAN

Straws do come with the souvineer cups, and non-soda drinks; shakes icees, ect.

More trash, and it costs the park more to keep them stocked as well. And also, if you don't like a "mouthful of ice," you can always ask for light or no ice in your drink. I just get ice water anyway, so when it melts it just gives me more to drink.

Remember to always go light or no ice at the lemonade stands. You'll only get one sip if you don't. :)

What? Straws? Lids? That stuff costs money. :)

They also tend to be hazards for animals, which is why some parks don't offer them.

It's bad enough you practically have to take out a loan
to eat dinner in the park. Throw in straws and lids, and
drinks will go from 3 dollars to 5.

The drink at the most is worth 20 cents. I think straws would be great because I like to have a decent amount of ice without it all going in my mouth. But CP can use whatever failed logic they wish on that issue.

101 on Magnum and counting...

If you buy your drink at Donut Time, they have straws there, and sometimes lids too! Lids are very good to have during mayfly season.

^I started to really love Donut Time's ice coffee. My wallet didn't though.

We must be running out of things to talk about this off season if we are now talking about straws.......

Only 82 more days till opening day then I can enjoy a (overpriced) Pepsi without a straw.

Quite right. This is the last straw . . .

Yep. I couldn't think of anything else to talk about.

For some reason I hate drinking out of straws... I find I don't drink nearly as much of a beverage when strawless.

I've been told it's "better" to drink pop through straws as apposed sipping.I can't really testify myself, it's just what I've heard.

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

you are supposed to drink pop through a straw, same with orange juice. Due to the high levels of acid in the drinks, it eats away at the enamle on your teeth, over time, no enamle, no fun.
