Just got hired-would like to meet other ride hosts/employees

Hey guys

I just had my interview today and found out I just got hired to be a ride host in Gemini Children's area. This will be my first year at Cedar Point, so I am very excited! I am also a little bit nervous because I am not sure what to expect...but from what I hear I am going to love the experience!

I am interested in meeting other employees because it would be nice to be able to meet someone in the first day or two and have someone to talk to! I'm also interested if anyone might be looking for a roomie and would like to consider me!

I am a 23 year old female from West Virginia. I attend WVU and will be graduating in May with a B.S. in Child Development. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know someone or get used to my environment I open up! I love to meet new people, so feel free to add me on Facebook, or you can give me a shout on AIM (same as my name on here).

I'm really excited to get started! I process in May 21st. So, only a few days after my graduation! If you want to give me tips/advice they would be appreciated. I have been reading back posts on the forum, so it is nice to have something like this to get information from!

hey i'm going to be working at power tower and this is my 1st year too i process in may 9th and am very very excited about this summer!

I love how many new people there are. I will be new also and I have NEVER been to cedar point before, so it'll be interesting! I'm also looking for a roommate. From what I hear Commons is the best place to live, but since this is my 1st year, I really have no idea what the differences are between the housing. Does anyone else know?

Hey Michelle, if you look around on the other topics on the board, the housing issue comes up a lot. I've hear Commons dorms are the best place to be too, because of the air conditioning and the fact that you don't have as many roommates. But look around, and I'm sure someone has answered your questions.

I'm glad to meet all of you, and I'm sure we will be bumping into each other this summer at some point as well! Are any of you other guys a little nervous? I am, but I think the excitement overrides any of that haha! Oh btw, my name is Jessica :).

I also hear commons is the place to be, but from what I gather from reading the posts on here, it sounds like all have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm open to living pretty much anywhere really, as long as I can get to the park to work, it's fine with me haha.

If you haven't yet, I would join the group "Park Operations 2010" on facebook. You will meet a ton of newbiest there. I know alot of you are already on it, and on my friend list too. If you have any questions, ask anyone! We are glad to help!
