I heard you get tested to be able to work ride controls and such and I believe you have to do one or two other ones on like park policies and guidelines or something.
2013: Maverick, Mine Ride, Skyhawk, Snake River Falls
2014: Team Leader of Snake River Falls
Every position that you do, you'll fill out what's called a "checklist" which is you checking off, saying that you're able to do it. You won't just be thrown into a position and then left on your own. Your trainer will shadow you, before letting you on your own.
For controls on rides with blocks, you have to do this... and you also will have to pass a visual board test. It's 20 multiple choice questions that will ask you basic questions about the ride system.
"If there is a train that has yet to clear the block break, where would the next train stop?"
"If there's someone in a restricted area, what would you do?"
And of course, every ride is different and would have different procedures. Your TL/ATL will go over it with you before you actually take your visual boards.
2010: Millennium Force & Mantis
2011: Raptor
2012: Raptor, Sky Ride and Wicked Twister
2013: Co-Team Leader of Sky Ride
2014: Supervisor of Slingshot/Skyscraper
Yeah for any flat ride, or Wicked Twister you dont have to take Visuals. :)
For anything with multiple trains (so pretty much all the rollercoasters except WT, I honestly have no clue about the kiddy ones though) and the water rides you'll get to take them!
