Hi I am Kara and a 17 but in 8 days I'm going to be 18 I am super excited. Anyone processing in June? I go in on June 12th. I know this is late and all but I gotta work with my schooling(: So yeah.

Well I wanna know like whats the difference between castway bay and soak city? Also do all empl. live in te say housing. like the lifegaurds and the riding advisers. do the all have the same housing. and the i know thw girls get a one peice. but do the also get like shorts and a tank so when the are on break or what not if the have a break do you get clothes, and are you alound to where sunglasses?

I can;t answer any lifeguard questions, but as for housing, al employees in all different arenas can live in the same housing.

There is not much of a difference between Castaway and Soak City besides indoor/outdoors and that Castaway is all one crew vs. 3 different crews in Soak City and 4 if you include beach.

As Jane said we all share the same housing.

And along with your one piece you also get shorts and a t-shirt and you can buy a windbreaker suit too for colder days. And Sunglasses are required.

Ok, so the major difference between castaway and the city is the hours. At Castaway there is usually a 40 hour cap. At the city you will be expected to work a lot more than 40 hours. I work is different due to being outside. when outside you must always have your hat and sunglasses on. This is a very strict rule through the people that certify us as lifeguards. There is no exceptions. you must have your hat and sunglasses on. Sun Screen is also a must and I do mean a must haha sun poisoning is a bad thing to go through. The female uniform is a one piece. They are also given swim shorts and shirts. There are only a small number of places where a lifeguard can have there shirt off and still guard ( under umbrellas or structures). The only time a female lifeguard is permitted to have her shorts off is if they are in the pool. Im continue going on here and just go wild with soak city info.

There are three crews at soak city. East, West, and Wave.

East crew is on the right side of Magnum closest to breakers. They control The lazy river(mainstream), Bubble swim up bar, tadpole town and the tan waterslides.

West crew is on the left side of Magnum closest to gemini. The control. Choo Choo lagoon, splash zone, zoom flume and most of the renegade river.

Wave crew is in the far back by the wave pool. They are responcible for eerie falls, adventur cove, the wave pool, and 2 spots on renegade river.

Soak city isnt open as long as the park is so generally everyone works a Open to Close(oc). Some people come in at 10 or so and some leave early. It all depends on staffing and such.

So I just found out the I am working in Soak City. And thank you guys so much. So if i have a friend going in, in May, and she requests me a bed, what is the chances of me getting to room with her?

you can save a bed for 2 weeks so its gonna be a little hard but work with it and glad to see you got into soak city, haha Im sure ill see ya there.
