June 8th, 9th and 10th - Long

We made our first trip of the season. Thank you to all of you that gave me tips on going to Cedar Point with a person with disabilities. My husband had a stroke 2 years ago at the age of 43, and still loves to be able to go and have fun. We rented him a wheelchair both days that he went so he could keep up with the rest of us and enjoy the park without getting too tired. Now onto the report.

Friday June 8th. We got to Cedar Point around 5:30 and got our passes processed. It was decided that the first evening the girls and I would go enjoy the rides while the husband played games and took in the sights. First up was our traditional first ride on Demon Drop. My oldest daughter and her best friend went to ride rides while I took our youngest to ride some of her favorite coasters. We started off with Iron Dragon, caught the train back to Frontier Land rode Cedar Creek Mine and then headed to Gemini. After we rode Gemini we met up with the older two girls and they told us that Magnum was a walk on. We went and rode Magnum then headed towards Raptor. We checked in with the Husband and waited for the older girls before we went to ride Raptor. The Raptor crew was the greatest. We had a lot of fun, especially since we talked the youngest into riding the front car. After Raptor we called it a night and went to get dinner before heading back to the room.

Saturday the girls and I headed to the park with hopes of getting our first ride on Maverick only to be disappointed that it was down. We rode Mean Streak and then split up until noon. The youngest and I rode Iron Dragon (her favorite), Disaster Transport and she rode the Scrambler. We all met up at 11:00 to go get the Husband and eat lunch. After lunch all five of us rode Ocean Motion and the red side of Power Tower. The older girls and I rode Wicked Twister. The older girls split off and the youngest and I introduces the Husband all of Cedar Point. (He normally just stays in the front where the games are). We let the youngest be a kid and ride anything she wanted while we sat and watched her. Once we had gotten around the whole park the youngest and I went off and rode Blue Streak. I went to meet up with the big girls for what I had hoped to be a ride on MF, but they wanted to ride Mantis instead. We rode Mantis and called it a night.

Sunday stared off with both of the older girls sick so the youngest and I went into the park for one last ride on Raptor before we left.

Nice TR! What were the two girls sick with?

Then on the 7th day, God went to CEDAR POINT

Good report. Sounds like you had a good time, up until Sunday that is.

It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.

I was actually there the exact same days. I got there around 11 am the 8th and went straight to Maverick. I found out it was closed and had been closed all morning but after an hour and some I got a ride in.

Saturday was kind of busy. The entire Maverick queue was full and all the other rides had waits of at least an hour.

Sunday, however, was pretty empty. From 9 am to 10am (before the park opened) MF's line barely spilled onto the ramp. I assume that's because everyone was at Maverick. MF stayed at around 20 mins the entire day, I waited 30 minutes for TTD and Wicked Twister was a walk on. Maverick was about an hour.

In a little under 3 days I got:

13 Maverick
6 MF
3 TTD
2 Magnum
2 Raptor
2 MaXair
1 Skyhawk
1 Wicked Twister

Next CP Trip: June 9th
Go Cubs!

My oldest daughter had a very upset stomach. She kept to clear fluids all day Sunday and was back to herself on Monday. I think her friend was just exhausted. They all slept in the back seat all the way home.
