First off, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Eric, and I'm from Florida (BGT is my home park). Although I've been following these message boards for about a month, I finally got around to joining today. OK,,,on to the TR!
I went to CP for my first time ever on Wednesday June 7th with my good friend Mike. Got to the park around 9:15 and walked to MF. Woah!! Check out the line! It stretched all the way to the Frontier Trail tunnel thing. But the line moved fast, because they opened the queues right after we got in the line. It was only 9:50 and I heard everyone in the station clapped. Yeah buddy...they are opening it early! I was kinda disappointed because they were only running two trains. I saw the blue train on the transfer track...the mechanic was doing something with the wheels. Waited about 1hr, 30min total. Got to the station, and felt like I had to pee! I was so nervous about it even though I love rollercoasters. Mike was saying how he was going to have his hands up for the entire ride. I told him that "I'm hanging on"! Well, we ended up sitting in car 5-2 of the yellow train. Man, what a feeling going up the lift hill. Looking at Lake Erie as it got smaller, smaller, smaller... Mike said "I'm gonna hold on too". Dude man, what a view! Now we crest the hill and start to go down, down, down, down, down!!! Oh crap man!! This is vertical! Unbelivable!! Once the ride was over, I was just like "dude!!" Anyways, after MF, we went over to Mantis. It was OK...got a little banged around, but it was pretty fun. After Mantis, we walked to that eating place next to MF. Then we walked down Frontier Trail and did the Mine ride (what a hoot!) and Gemini (very fun!). Both were about 10 minute waits. Walked down and did Magnum. That was a blast, with an hour wait. On Magnum, I was talking to these girls, and they said that MF had closed down! NO!!!! So, we went over and waited 30 min. for Power Tower (shot us up). After Power Tower, we walked over towards MF, hoping that it would open again. Sure enough, we saw a few empty trains running. So we waited outside the queue with a small crowd of people. After about 20 minutes of waiting, MF finally opened, and by that time, there was a HUGE line. So we only had to wait about 10 minutes once we walked through all the empty queues. We timed it just right! Sat in car 3-2 of the yellow train, again! What a rush!! It was even better than the first time. After MF, we walked over and did Raptor (1hr wait). Sat front row,,,very nice ride, but nothing compared to MF! Then we walked over and did Iron Dragon, which was my first suspended. It was a pretty good ride. After Iron Dragon, Mike and I went over and went on Mean Streak. It was a good ride, and it wasn't as rough as I expected. Then we headed over to Disaster Transport. What a lame ride. I didn't expect it to be a bobsled coaster. The ride itself sucked. Not to mention the theming... :) The we went and ate at Coasters. It was pretty good, even though I spilt my chocolate milkshake on my white shirt! LOL. After eating, we did Blue Streak and Iron Dragon again. By this time, it was about 8:45. Time for a night ride on MF baby! Went over and got in line. Waited 2 hrs...the line moved slower this time because they added the blue train (finally) and broke down a few times. It was 10:45 and we finally got into the station! Mike and I said that it was now or never if we wanted to get a front row seat. Even though they don't let you choose your seat, we were bound and determined to get the front row. Well, got up to the turnstile, and we let a few people go in front of us. This one guy said, "Hey, I want the front row too!" Thankfully, we said "Oh well" and went on. Phew! We judged it right and we were the first ones into the station for, you guessed it, the yellow train! I wanted the red train, but oh well. I was so pumped that we got to sit in the front! Man, this is great! Since I wear contacts, I had to wear my sunglasses to make sure that I didn't lose the contacts. Man what a ride!!!!! The best one ever!! I could barely see the track on the drop with my sunglasses on at 10:50 at night! We finally left the greatest park ever around 11:00. What a day! I had a blast!!! I am still in shock from MF! I am jealous of everyone who can go to Cedar Point whenever they want. Well, thanks for reading this entire thing. I probably switched some stuff around, but oh well. See everybody around on the boards.
Good to have you on the boards. A great report. You had the most G's in car 5 on MF. And I thought you would lose your sunglasses if you wore them on MF. Huh. Good that you rode MF at night, all the rides are better then.

ride early, ride often!!!
Yeah, I thought I would lose my sunglasses too. But I bought a strap thing for them to wear so I was sure that they would fall off. I'm glad I bought the strap!
i sat in 5-1 also. those two hills going and coming back from the lagoon are just awesome. i would guess 5 seconds of weightlessness. maybe even more!

Punk - Thats weird, because even though I sat in 5-2, I didn't feel any airtime, except on the first drop. 5-2 and 5-1 can't be that much of a difference, can they?

Gotta love those Amish women!
MF count: 3
yeah, on further reflection, i feel there is a difference...people who have ridden in every car could probably tell you better or for sure, but MY opinion is that you notice the airtime more in car 5 because the G's through the rest of the ride are so strong. wait til Hooper gets done with his comaprison shopping and we will have a very good final word on this...

ride early, ride often!!!
Morning rides aside, I never feel much of a significant difference. On media day with the mostly nylon wheels, the thing was absolutely flying!
