I went with my church youth group and had a blast! We arrived at opening, and had to park the bus across by the marina because the main lot was filling up fast with cars and tour buses. As soon as I got off the bus, I RAN TOTALLY across the street and right through the main gate! I can be the proud to say that I was the FIRST person out of the whole youth group to enter the park that day!!!! They all thought I was nuts cause I just went ballistic and ran, but I didn't care! All I could do was run as fast as my legs could carry me as I gazed up at the the glistening skyline.
I ran across the street and through the huge parking lot and up to the gates, season pass in hand!!
As I walked over to Raptor and saw the 1-hour wait sign, I decided to skip that for now and head over to Wicked Twister....I was SOOOOOOO disapointed when I saw no line and a sign reading "this ride is closed". I walked into the eerie and silent plaza and up to the ride exit, where I saw four people working on the train. I asked them if it would be up and running later, and they said no. I said thanks for letting me know, but on the inside I was cursing up a Bluestreak....pun intended!
I then decided to take a whirl on Disaster Transport since I was right there...I was truly amazed at the new effects such as the all 3-D paint, and the cool haunted-house like darkness! There were actually some parts that were so dark that I about ran into a railing! It really is great that CP has finally gave DT an upgrade! I waited about 10 minutes for her, and the ride was great....the starfield effects after the first drop was amazing!
After my space cargo adventure, I headed over to Power Tower and waited about 15 minutes for the space shot side. I really wanted to try the turbo drop, but that wait looked about a 20 minute to a half-hour wait. What a rush!
Then treked over to Corkscrew and had my upside-down flying experience over the midway. 3 minute wait for this classic coaster.
Next on the list was everyone's favorite...the mighty Magnum! Waited about 20 minutes for her.
Then to Gemini...the "Capacity King". But this morning she was running slow, as I waited a first ever half hour for her!! I knew the park was packed when I saw this going on.....started to get worried at this point.
Headed over to the big woodie...Meanstreak! On the way, I saw Jeff Spartan sitting with his daughter on a bench by Lusty Lil's.....I was going to say hi but I was too shy....sorry Jeff! LOL! Waited about a half-hour for her, and it was a great ride! The brakes were on during the first hill, but still a great ride...worth the wait.
I decided to beat the heat after Meanie, and head over to Snake River Falls!! Waited about 10 seconds for her! LOL! What a "LONG" line....*cough*. The ride was great, cold, and wet! The only thing that kinda made me mad was how some rowdy teens acted in the boat. Being a teen myself, I've had my share of being stupid, but this was totally uncalled for...especially at a family park. All they did up the hill and until the slide was curse about everything for no good reason, and talking about some rather unessesary things, while other people in the boat behind us had to hear it. It was very annoying, but I just kept my mouth shut...they would prob. end up just getting into trouble later in the day and get kicked out of the park, saw I laughed to myself....after that I stood on the bridge a few times, and the wave was so forceful that it literally flew me back against one of the railings!!!! What a RUSH!!!
After that, Thunder Canyon was calling me....OMG, I thought the people on Snake River were bad....these people were like the spawn of Satan! LOL! Even the ride op told them to tone it down! Yep, I got stuck in the same raft as them too....lucky me. Still had a great time and got soaked on the last waterfall. Waited like 1 minute for this ride.
I decided to head over to Snake River again for a milli-second wait, and then decided to stroll back to the "2002 era" and out of the rustic Froniter-period. Of course on the way I rung out my clothes and slicked up the midways! As I entered Millennium Plaza, I saw the Freeway stand...I made a mad dash..(still wet mind you) to the stand...I was upset, because as soon as I got there, they ripped down the sign in front of me, and put up the sign saying "all stamps have been given out for the day". I was like "crap", and kinda laughed at the irony at how I got there at the last second, and walked all the way over to the Demon Drop. All the other lines were filled so I decided to take a drop on this scream machine. Waited about 15 minutes, and I got PURE AIR-TIME!!!!
After my free-fall, I headed over to the Bluestreak. OMG...I've rode this before, but not like this! SHE FLEW!!!!!!!! It was pure airtime from the first drop till the end! It was fantastic! Waited about 20 minutes for this classic!
Decided to get a bite to eat, and got some cheese-fries. Waited about 5 minutes for service, and they we really good as always. After that, I headed over to the Gemini Midway and took a spin on Chaos. Waited about 5 minutes for that.
Then, the whole reason this post is named why it is, I took a spin on Gemini again....I rode it about 10 times in a row, as she only had a 1 minute or less wait! She was truly the shortest line in the park that day, as all the other lines were kinda bad. I smacked a lot of hands on those trips! Blue train always won during the trip!
It was now 4:30 and I had to meet up with my group at the picnic shelter by 5:00, and I had been by myself all day...as I began my trek to the front of the mammoth park. I saw that Raptor only had a half-hour wait, so I took advantage of that! She flew like crazy and was running great! The ripe ops were VERY fast at loading trains, as also just like the Gemini crew. You ride ops rock!! I forgot to listen for the "crack" on the lift, but I didn't hear anything...
As I got back to the picnic area, I learned that I was 15 minutes late! Opps!!! That were not mad, but just said they were concerned....I just let them know I wasn't dead, so I then headed back. Got some chocolate Dippin' Dots in a pouch by Coasters, and I sure missed those through the winter!! I knew M-Force had like a 2 hour wait since the last time I checked, but I refused to leave the park that night at ten, until I rode my big blue, beatiful baby!!! I didn't care how long the wait was....I ended up waiting an hour and a half, but I didn't care! She was running a bit slow, but running all trains. I did see two repairmen working on another red train on the transfer track. I ended up getting the seat right behind the front seat, and it was a rush! For some reason, the first "hell hill" was not as bad in that seat, but the rest of the time was pure airtime and speed! The lapbar was digging into me because we were going so fast! Ouch! SWEET!!!
After that I headed over to Gemini and rode that another 10+ times, and out of the whole day I think I rode her about 20-some times!!! I guess you could say I created a "Gemini-20"! LOL!!! The sunset was truly breath-taking as she set over the lake. You could see it perfectly as we went through the bunny-hops and such. I loved the head-chopper this year again, always a sense of fear and a good laugh after!
As the night began to come to a close, I took a beautiful night-ride on the Magnum. Waited about 15 minutes for her. Then over to Corkscrew for a 20-second like wait, then off to the last ride of the day....Power Tower! Did the space shot again and waited 10 minutes. The park was truly amazing and almost heavenly all lit up at night as I blasted up 240 feet. The tower was great all lit up too...a perfect way to end the day.
I had to get back to the bus at 10:00, and saw that I was 10 minutes late...OH CRAP!!! I met up with one of my friends and we took off down the Main Midway running like mad to get to the lot! We finally got there, and I am the proud to say this.....I WAS the last one from my church group to exit the park! What a record that day...first one in and the last one out! Overall, the day was great even though WT was down and some lines were heavy. I can't wait for the other trips I plan on taking this summer! :)

Really? So there were TWO red trains on MF? (one on track, one on transfer track?) You sure?
