June 7
I went with my 3-year-old-daughter, a good friend who came as a mother's helper, my 15-year-old-niece and her best friend. We checked into BE at about 3 and relaxed in our room a bit before heading to the park.
While I was getting my daughter a phone # bracelet from Guest Operations the rest of the group rode the carousel. Right after I hopped on MaXair (walk on) Giant Wheel and Raptor with the teenagers, my daughter rode the Giant Wheel and LOVED it. Raptor was running a few empty trains so the short line dwindled down fast because of bailers and we got a nice, fast, backrow ride.
My friend, my daughter and I rode sky-ride while the teenagers pushed my stroller for me. By this time I could see that my daughter would be hooked on riding rides. She went once before two years ago and loved it, but could only ride a few things.
When we got off Sky-Ride I set the teens loose and decided to do some kiddie rides with my little one. She was pumped for weeks about Jr Gemini so we hopped on and she LOVED it! I almost got choked up that my little one was riding a real roller coaster with me and loving it. The ride ops were giving two rides at a time so she happily rode twice in a row. Then the two of us conquered Monster and she rode the Frog Hopper.
By this time the teens had gotten a ride on Mantis and Iron Dragon and rejoined us at Camp Snoopy. The four of us rode the Woodstock Express while my mother's helper watched the stroller, did I mention she doesn't care for rides? We weren't leaving her out LOL. My daughter said she hated the spins on the WE but wanted to get back on anyway LOL. Next she rode the Peanuts 500 with my friend who said it went so fast she could see why they wanted an adult to ride too LOL. I thought she was going to pee her pants. She was all for driving the antique cars after that though!
The two teens then took turns riding Jr Gemini with my daughter so she was up to 6 coaster rides already, okay, time for mama to catch up. I left my daughter and friend to ride Gemini (walk on) and Magnum (walk on). It was just about dark at this time and Magnum gave us a super fast (dare I say trimless?) ride, score another one for that great coaster. I was parched so I dished out 9 bucks and bought each of us a pop SIGH!
We caught up with my friend and my daughter, they were in Planet Snoopy. She said that she had already lost count of the rides my daughter had been on. She was driving a bumper car around when I found her. She had been very excited to ride Ocean Motion and was a half inch taller than the minimum requirement of 39 inches. We rode it once with the teens and a few more times without them. Then we watched Hot Summer Lights, grabbed a bite at McDonalds (where of course we all got the giggles in the drive-thru) and hit the hay at BE.

Monday morning the teens got up before dawn to do their hair. We got to the park at 9 with a FRONT ROW parking spot (score). As soon as we got to the gates it started raining, so much for their perfect hair. We used our getaway guide coupons at donut time. None of us could drink the coffee, it was so strong and bitter! We were really disappointed and there were a ton of puckered up faces around us.
The rain stopped within an hour or so and we rode MaXair, Sir Rub a Dub's tubs (they had a nice dead mufflehead lake in the bottom of them LOL) and another Giand Wheel. Then my daughter and I went to eat at Joe Cool's while the rest of my party got henna tats done.
After lunch we hit quite a few Planet Snoopy rides while the teens walked around texting non-stop on their phones. When I hooked back up with them we rode Mantis with about a 20 minute wait. The wait was fun because we were watching a little snake swim around the lagoon. We rode in the front seat and I have to say it was the smoothest ride I've ever had on it. Then we rode MF which only had about a 30 minute wait. That ride NEVER lets me down. The best part was embarrassing the girls while we were in line because I ended up chatting with a lady whose son they had been checking out HAHAHAA.
After Millie I rode CP & LE with my daughter and friend while the girls ate Dippin Dots and stroller sat. The muffleheads came out in droves while on the train!!! Then I caught two more Woodstock Express rides with my coaster craving daughter.
We then took a walk to the back and rode Maverick which was only about a 20 minute wait. I liked this ride a lot better than the first time I rode it because I could see where I was going and brace myself for it. The first time I rode it, it was pitch black and it beat me up a little.
Then we rode WaveSwinger and Skyhawk which had been down earlier but was now running one side. Both were walkons (is there ever a wait for WaveSwinger?). Then MF, where we only had to wait for two trains. Next we hit the Gemini and headed to the front of the park after a few more laps on Jr Gemini with my daughter, and countless spins on Monster. Of course the girls were flirting with the ride ops and we got two rides in a row on the thing and I swear they made the last ride a LOT faster than normal. My daughter wanted off of it at that point...FINALLY!
Next we rode Ocean Motion a hundred times, Giant Wheel in the dark and one more MaXair before watching the show and heading back to the hotel. The ride op let us pick our seats on MaXair because there were only a few people riding. Seat 40 is my personal favorite! There was no hot water at BE that night so I decided to take a cool shower so I could sleep in later.

Sigh, our last day at CP. We got in early for a nice ride on Millie, then we hopped in line for TTD. We only waited about 15 minutes. When our train got to the launch part the engine sounds blared, the lights started flashing, our hearts started beating....then the sounds went off and the train scooted backwards a few feet....WTH? We sat on the train waiting for a few minutes and I was all set to be pissed that I didn't get a chance to ride it this year. Then a service guy came and looked at the wheels like they were going to fall off or something. After he stared at it for a few minutes we started getting back into launch position and then he looked really concerned at the wheels, I said "hey are we gonna derail or something?" and he said "nah" and off we went WHEEEE! Nice and slow over the top!!
We then ate lunch and went to Soak City for a couple of hours. I hate waterparks and it was my first time there. I knew my daughter would love it so I went and it was a huge hit with her. Only the promise of an ice cream cone could lure her out.
On the way to get ice cream my daughter fell asleep so the teens and I decided to ride Raptor again. When we got there it was shut down but they were running empty trains so we got in line and waited........They must've run 20 empty trains so we finally bailed and got in line for MaXair. We waited two cycles and were next to get on when the ride op informed us that someond puked on the ride and it would be a minute.....I could've cleaned the entire ride in the time it took two squeamish girls to hose it down from 15 feet away LOL. Then instead of drying it with a towel they ran the ride with no passengers, is that standard procedure?? Oh well we had a good laugh and rode it, thankful that our seats were on the opposite side of the wheel and we didn't have to sit on recently puked on seats. The guy sitting next to me couldn't keep his leg to himself and that bothered me, but other than that we had a great ride.
Next the teens and I went to ride Cedar Downs but the ride op said I couldn't take the zip-up case I had on my belt loop even though I demonstrated that it couldn't be pulled off, let alone fly off. Funny it rode on TTD and MF with no problem, but this guy was a little dink. I wasn't leaving it in the bin because it was stuffed with cash and Beagle Bucks. Oh well, I got myself a walking taco while they rode it, only because it was the coolest sounding food I could find.
By that time my daughter woke up and we got our frozen custard. We followed that with a plethora of kiddie rides and the coolest face painting she had ever had. The best part was that the girl doing the face painting was just practicing so she did it for free. She did a great job and it lasted the rest of the night and the entire next day at the Toledo Zoo.
Then we did a ton more kiddie rides and I got in one more Gemini, Magnum, Maverick, a couple more Woodstock Expresses, then one last Ocean Motion with my daughter to wrap up a great trip.
All in all the weather was almost perfect, the crowds were minimal, the lines were short and I fed the ride demon in my daughter. I promised her another trip soon with just the two of us to ride all the kiddie rides. She begged and pleaded to ride TTD and MF....that's my girl!
