What a great day to be at Cedar Point, it was a little on the warm side, but I can't complain, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the lines were quite short.
I took my eleven year old niece (who insisted that we wear our matching Cedar Point shirts.)
Started the day with practically a walk on for the fron seat of Magnum, it was an awesome ride. It would have been better had my cell phone not slipped out of my pocket at some point and is now lost forever. That wasn't the best way to start the day, but I guess this means I get a new phone. After the panic over the phone incident was over, we got another walk on to Magnum and then Gemini, though at this time only the blue train was running.
Next was Skyhawk, which I had to make my niece ride, but we both ended up loving it. I wish the ride were a little longer, but I think that the crew is getting better at loading times, which I know was a complaint at the beginning of the season. We rode this three times before heading back to the car for lunch.
After getting back into the park, we headed to the front and rode Disaster Transport. It was the longest line of the day (about 45 minutes), but my niece insisted on riding it. I swear that the ride gets shorter and more pointless every year. Oh well. Next was Maxair, which I find to be alot less fun than Skyhawk. I think if Skyhawk weren't there, we would be fine with Maxair, but I just enjoy the open feeling of Skyhawk so much better.
We then headed to Raptor for a less than half hour wait. This was her first time riding it and she loved it, so we headed back to get a front seat ride. I have to say, the front seat of Raptor has to be one of the best rides in the park, it really is totally different than anything else. I LOVE it.
Then we took the Sky Ride back to Power Tower, rode both sides twice, a quick walk on to Iron Dragon and on to the highlight of my day, Millenium Force. This wait couldn't have been more than 35-40 minutes, but though she's ridden it before, my niece chickened out and left the station and waited at the exit. She said she had too bad a headache to ride (poor excuse not to ride, in my book). This ride was awesome! Every time I ride it I love it more. I even experienced that blacking out sensation that people talk about. I tried to get ride again, but my niece wouldn't wait in line with me and I felt neglient letting her sit by herself for another 45 minutes, so we headed back to her favorite, Skyhawk. The line was little longer by this time of the day (about 6:00), but we rode another two times. One of the operators actually remembered us and asked us how many times we were going to ride it...Two more rides on Gemini and it was about time to leave. Not without Dipping Dots though, but unfortunately the stall closest to our exit (Soak City lot) was closed already so we had to walk back until we found another. We got our Dipping Dots and headed to the car, with that depression that always comes when I have to say goodbye to Cedar Point. The only thing that makes leaving is easier is knowing that I'll be back soon...
