What a great day! The wind was a little chilly off the lake, but all in all great weather. I started off the day running back to Maverick, but when I saw that it wasn't running, I decided to come back later. (Note to self: don't go with impatient family members!). So I ran to the walk-on Mean Streak. That was great. It helps to know which seats aren't bumpy. After that, I rode Gemini and then Maggie, both of which were walk-ons. Then I headed to Power Tower. This was a mistake, because both sides were only running one gondola, and the very short line ended up being a 20 minute wait. Boo. After Power Tower, I met up with my party again and we waited 40 minutes for MF. I know how much I love it, but it amazes me every single ride. Absolutely fantastic.
After Millennium, my party split up, and I was free to ride the big'uns. I went to Mantis and made another mistake. One hour wait?! Boo. Nonetheless, I did it. It was running without trims, though. Yay! After Mantis I headed to Dragster, my (former, see below) #2 ride. I waited about 25 minutes and was close to the station when it broke down. From what I saw, it was running perfectly all day until then. That was at about 2:15. But after about 15 minutes it was back up and running. Being a single rider really helps ;). I got on the back seat with a nice gentleman and kicked it into high gear. Great ride. Then I decided that it was late enough in the afternoon to walk on Raptor, so I headed up to the front, and waited 10 minutes for it. Worth it. After that, my party told me they wanted to meet up again in 45 minutes (boo!), so I decided what better way to spend that time than to ride Dragster again! I waited 40 minutes again and loved all 17 seconds.
When my party met up with me, I propsed Maverick, and they agreed to ride. We waited about an hour to get on. To be honest, I've read so many posts about how everyone sees it but doesn't think to much, and are shocked. So I, like almost everyone on PointBuzz, was expecting a pretty good ride, but again I, like almost everyone on PointBuzz, was SHOCKED! What a ride! It just never stops for one second. From the first drop I was saying "WOW" or "HOLY ****" literally every second. When they say "quick turns" they really mean it. I was absolutely amazed. Kudos to Cedar Point, they've got a real winner on their hands. Though I'm one of those that still thinks Millennium Force is #1, Mavy is definitely my new #2 ride. After Mavy, we hit Skyhawk. Then my lame party wanted to do some lighter rides (chickens). Since I'd already done most of the big rides, I agreed to take some time with them. We rode Draggin' Iron, then went to the front to hit Disaster Transport and the Space Spiral. Wicked Twister was closed all day for some reason. I didn't ask. Once I did those rides with them, they wanted to go to challenge park. So once again, I was FREE!
I ran back to Millennium Force and got my 21st and 22nd laps in (Not too bad for a guy who lives 300 miles away and only goes once or rarely twice a year). After that it was about 9:00, so I figured with my impatient party, I could get one more big ride in. Normally I would have instantly jumped right back in line for MF, but I thought long and hard, and decided that this was a year for change. I headed back to Maverick.
The line was surprisingly still about an hour long. I waited about half an hour when it broke down, though. This was a long delay. It took about a half hour to get it fixed, and literally right when they got the trains on the blocks into the station, it broke down again. This was another very long wait, but there was a lot of excitement in line. We were doing the wave through the queue, and got one to go all the way through the queue house and up the stairs. I was so close to leaving the line, because my phone died and I knew my friends were waiting for me in the car, but I said forget it; make 'em wait! So I waited it out, which ended up being a very long time; in the end they didn't get the ride back up. They sent us over to Millennium Force (which I would have done in the first place originally!). Ironic, I guess. A great finish to a great day. Thanks so much Cedar Point! Hope I see you again this summer. *** Edited 6/7/2007 10:03:51 PM UTC by Dvo***

I was in the line for Maverick when the wave was going on. I thought them letting us go on MF was a great descision.
