Hey all .
Some friends and myself are planning a trip to the point this year , the days we will be at the park is the 2nd and 3rd of June ( Monday and Tuesday ) I went to the point last year ( for labor day weekend of all weekends ) But this year is the visit to actually get on more than 4 rides lol
Few questions :
1: Anyone have any estimate for crowds at this time of year ? We will be arriving in Sandusky on Sunday afternoon and leaving wed morning sometime. So with a two day pass and staying 10 minutes from the park, we should be able to hit everything if attendance is good , without having to rush.
2. We are camping at .Bay shore Estates (www.mhdcorp.com/bayshore_rates.html)
I have never camped here before, but the campground looks promising. The rates are good and the sites look excellent as well. Anyone been here before?
3. Parking - Once parking is payed for how many times are we permitted to leave the park ?
4. FATTY FAT FAT ! lol I have been worried about the size limit on certain rides lol I have seen some posts about it in recent threads i would just like to add my two cents in lol . Im thinkin of goin on a crash diet for the next two weeks lol , if not just to make me feel better.
Last year i went, i was able to get on every ride . This year, i beleive i have packed on a few lbs. I was just Barely able to make the belts on MF and TTD last year . I read somewhere that MF belts have been changed , to allow for more slack ? Im sportin' a 42" jeans right now, comfortably. Im probably about 230-240 lbs atm . Im just under 6'2" and chest size was never as much of a concern as waist was for me . So MF and TTD are really the only ones im worried about. MF more than TTD. Any thoughts ?
thanks for your input . Its greatly appreciated.
A Monday and Tuesday in early June shouldn't be too bad crowd wise.
We just stayed at Bayshore this past weekend. It's not bad for the price.
And the belts on MF were changed, but I don't think they're much longer then they were last year. They were lengthened last year. I'm about the same size as you, just a little shorter, and I fit on MF and TTD ok. On MF, I had more slack on the actual train than on the test seat.
Awesome thanks . Im still gonna do the crash diet just in case lol
Anyone have any idea about parking ? were planning on leaving the park periodically to eat and other fun stuff. is there a limit of re-entry with parking ?
DONNIEBRAVO i will be at the park on the same 2 days. i was wondering about attendance also. KI is usually slow because 1 it's a weekday 2 its early and alot of people don't usually go on vacation that early. the last few years i've gone to KI and walked onto anything i wanted. CP i'm not sure. btw: anyone know the last day of school for sandusky?
Bayshore kind of has funky tasting water.
Put it this way, it smells and tastes funny in the 2 bedroom units, and we used bottled drinking water to brush our teeth.
It was not....good water. Uckkkkk
You can re-enter the park once.
My health teacher said that for every 3500 calories you shed, you will lose one pound. So adjust your calorie intake so you start to burn more calories than you intake, blah blah blah.
Your best way to fit better in a coaster is run / jog / walk and diet adjustment.
to my rambling earlier, sorry. my home park is KI thats where i go since it is a short drive for me. i am refering to the lack of attenance at KI and was hoping for the same at cedar point on june 2-3. thanks
You are going to be there on the same days as we...All I ask is for good weather.Everything else will take care of itself.
I think that rain is predicted for Tuesday..hopefully there will be enough clear weather between the rain drops.
I'll be going June 3rd too.. if it rains, I'll just schedule it for another day. National Weather Service website is quite accurate, that's what I go by for the weather in Sandusky.
It will by my 4th trip this year.
Ladyjerrico,
Your 4th tirp this year? Wow,you must live pretty close because there have been only 4 weekends since the park opened, and you evidently have been there three times.I figured out that with the current prices of gas,it will cost me $120 just for gas alone. That is not even counting motel and food.Wow!!!!
Ladyjerrico,or Allan.
Are the kids out of school yet?
Mon June 2, starlight ticket admission time? 4 or 5 pm?
I believe the park closes at 10 pm.
Any info would be appreciated.

I don't think school is out in Michigan until the 2nd week or so of June, I really don't know for sure since I have no children living with me. I'm 35 years old and I don't attend college.
I think the starlight tickets have been avaliable since the beginning of the season, but you might want to check the Cedar Point website just to be sure.
I think the park is now open everyday (until late August or so) until 10 p.m. also the park website has that information as well.
I will be thee Monday. Lines should be short.

MAVERICK IS THE BESt
I just checked weather.com and the weather looks to be improving for Monday and Tuesday. I believe its less than 30% chance on Tuesday, but the temp will be on the cool side which is fine with me.
Trip report upon our return? See ya at the point : )
For many districts, next week is the last or next-to-last week of school, so there may be fewer bus trips since they're preparing for final tests and wrapping up the year.
Or it could mean *more* bus trips since kids are antsy and they've run out of material to cover. :) Who knows. Sandusky's last day is Thursday, June 5th. Same for Elyria.
In my experience though, the first week of June is a good time to go. I go straight from work, get in there around 6 and staytill 10. Three years ago I got on TTD in 45, MilF front in 60, maXair in 30, and Raptor front in 5. Yes, five. To top it off, the weather was awesome. I'm going after work on June 3rd and am hoping for a repeat!
Once school lets out, I'm pretty well done for the summer. I'll have the occasional Sunday afternoon here and there, but I'm patient and don't expect to get a lot done. I avoid summer Saturdays unless I'm with non-passholding friends who insist on it.
