June 29th hey you got cheese on your stick

The crowds were below average and the temperatures got up there before it rained and than it finally cooled off.

We picked up RLGladding in Okemos at about 6:00 A.M. We we're running a little late. I never seem to be able to get ready in the time in the morning.

I learned about the white belt = homosexual. Which I kind of find unfair because white belts are fashionable on those uniforms and no I am not homosexual.

We tried to ride Raptor but the on coming storm system kept the ride closed and than it would run after a few test trains, and than it would close before we would get a chance to ride it. So that was a little bummer. The storms ate away probably 3 hours of our day.

We went to lunch at the first rain...but the first rain didn't last long at all. We should have taken lunch at about 3:30 when the storm really started coming.
We had lunch at TGI Fridays were I had a...Sam Adams...and a blue slushy margaritta thing, and a berry mojito. I felt pretty toasty needless to say. Oh yeah did I mention i had the red peppers and sausage pasta dish fro $10.95. It was pretty good, nice and spicy though kind of. If anyone ever has that lobster tortelloni let me know if its any good...because I want to try it but don't want to spend the $16 for a meal that might suck. We had a really good waitress this time at TGI Fridays. Food was warm, and she was always checking up on us. Since I was ordering drinks like a fish probably.

Okay enough of the food. I am not sure of the actual order of rides necessarily. But I think it went something like Maverick with a short short wait, and than maybe Skyhawk after? Than hopped over to TTD as it opened. By lunch we had rode everything but mean streak, blue streak, space spiral, disaster transport, raptor, and demon drop. So we got a lot of ride time in needless to say. Than we we're in the line for Raptor and like I said it rained on us so we went to lunch, but the rain stopped pretty quick.

The parks smoking policy seeems to be working as less people are smoking on the midways. The weather might have played a factor in the low attendance. I was really tired because I chose to drive half way there and would end up having to drive back as well so we didn't jump in a big ride line right before closing like we normally do (and end up bein some of the last people to leave the park). We went to Steak and Shake which is becoming kind of a tradition.

I did forget my phone in Sandusky at the Steak and Shake. I called them and they would keep it for me. So I call UPS the next day and have them send a package with a return envelope for my phone to the Steak and Shake. I should get my phone back Monday or Tuesday of next week hopefully. I haven't called Steak and Shake back to see if they actually put my phone in the envelope.

Millennium Force had sub 1 hour waits most of the day to even half an hour waits. Most rides did not get a line longer than an hour. So the wait times we're actually really nice for late June. We are afraid of what the park will become though as the season really kicks off.

Plus spending $100 in gas for these one day trips is getting a little expensive. So we might lay off the CP for a while unless we find people to carpool and pitch in on gas.
RLGladding was cool to bring along, he knew a few things about the point that I wasn't aware of. And he put up with my music for like 3 hour each way.

For a while I was really considering Soak City with the temperatures, but the rain brought the temps down a bit. Overall though a good day. No complaints to be had. Probably a first for me. Oh wait..one complaint.

A rider was filming on the Magnum at night and the ride ops didn't do anything about it even though I told Craig (posts here) about the rider. Although it was most likely too late, and also at night time it might be harder to spot people filming on rides.

What good is a night time video of a coaster anyways really?
Magnum was a walk on all day which made for a good day. Only thing new is Ana my girlfriend and I have been trying different seats out on different rides and we're finding the middle is pretty fun on Magnum and Millennium Force. I am beginning to forget what the back feels like on them though.

Anyways yeah enough rambling. Just thought I would let ya guys know it was an alright day.

OH and Magnum...that ride as soon as you get on the lift hill it doesn't feel right. Everytime I rode it I was like dude this will suck if we get stuck right here. It had a bit of a weird hesitation / jossle when you got on the chain.

Definitely had some bad luck with Raptor. I blamed it on Janelle though, ever since she showed up it started raining, and after she left it cleared up. And I was thinking the same thing about that guy with the camera... you can't even see anything anyway.

I also have definitely noticed the weird jolt when the chain engages on Magnum... I wonder if it has anything to do with the lift motor work from the downtime a few weeks ago...

What is unfair?

Because he'd rather people make one assumption over another regarding his sexual preference.

Insecurity will do that. ;)

Ryan06 went with btw guys if your confused about who we picked up from on the boards.

And I think that if you're wearing a white belt you shouldn't be judged as being homosexual if you work at CP.

It's the little amount of control you do have over your attire and it does even look very fitting and "clean looking". Aka people with white belts look more approachable / clean than those without white belts. I don't know why, the color white....

I dont get it, so is it some kind of code at CP if you wear a white belt you're gay? If so, who cares?

Wear whatever color belt you want!

If you're not gay, you know you're not gay, and so do your friends....

Does that make all white belt karate students gay?:)
Sorry, had to throw it in there.

p.s.- I'm just joking......

Sounds like you had a fun trip. :) I always ride the coasters in the middle, and it is always a good ride.
