June 28th was 4-H day, so our club decided to go. Got at the park around 10. I thought the crowds would be horrible, with tons of little kids running around, but they weren't bad at all. Left the younger kids first thing, they were having mayfly fights. There are only 2 of us over the age of 17, so we went off together. It was posted at the entrance that WT would be closed until later in the day, so we headed to Power Tower first. Got a walkon on the drop side, then proceded to Magnum. After walkons on Magnum, Gemini, Corkscrew, and Mean Streak, we waited 15 minutes for the train to arrive. Rode the train around and got freeway stamps for 6-7 on MF. Jeff (the guy I was with) actually agreed to ride my all time favorite with me -- Disaster Transport! After our catastrophic trip to Alaska, we had to head back to check in with and have lunch with the club. After lunch, we headed to Wicked Twister, which had opened at around 12:30. Short line, maybe 20 minutes. We decided it was time to get wet, so we headed to the water rides, riding Iron Dragon on the way. There was actually a 10 minute wait for that one! Met up with some elementary kids from our club. They were still throwing mayflys at one another in line for Snake River Falls. It's been a couple years since I rode that one, I forgot how wet you get! We decided that was enough water for one day, and headed back to the lockers. On the way, we spied a short line for Mantis (20 min.), and decided to ride. While waiting in line, we got the listen to this guy in front of us tell his companions that Six Flags WOA was much better than CP, because there was more to do. "Okay, the rides here are a little bit better," he said, "But that's not going to matter to anyone!(?!)" He also concluded that CP was going to have to lower their ticket prices to compete. Hee hee. After we FINALLY got on the ride and away from that man, it was a pretty decent ride. After changing, we ate at Macaroni's (cheap), then headed out for our time on MF. When we got there, we heard a man announcing "Millennium Force is now closed. We do not know if it will reopen." Arrrg. We waited around for a while, then talked to the man at the entrance. He said that as long as he could read the time on our Freeway stamp, he would let us in the Freeway line later that night. With that to console us, we went and saw Snoopy Rocks on Ice. It was a good show, and I enjoyed it. Jeff said he enjoyed it because of the "hot chicks". When it was over, MF was open, so we got our ride on it-- awesome, as usual. We finished the evening with a 15 minute wait on Raptor and walkon for the "up" side on Power Tower. The trip home was pretty quiet, all of the kids were worn out!
