June 26-28

Arrived at Breakers around 2 p.m. on the 26th. Stayed in the older section. They try hard to keep it clean and nice, but it really needs an update. Very wet and humid in the rooms, and they are so small. However, I absolutely love that place. We swam, played on beach, shopped, and ate at Famous Dave's. OMG!!! We got the 4-6 people meal.....absolutely loved it! I can't believe I chose TGIF over that place in the past. Will definitely go back.

Did early entry on the 27th and went right to GK. First ride was fun! Second ride? Well I about panicked when I couldn't breathe at the end of the ride. Those vests have to go! Third ride I couldn't enjoy cause I was concentrating on holding that stupid vest out. Didn't ride it anymore on this visit! I really hope CP looks at this problem. My husband can't even touch his collarbones right now.

The crowd was low on Thursday. Got 2 rides on MF (15 min wait), one on Maverick (sign said 30 min but it was an hour). I REALLY HATE FAST LANE!! It's so aggravating watching people cut in front of me. I understand they paid for that, and some people have limited time, but it still pissed me off. It's just too expensive to add fastlane prices to the ticket/motel cost.

After Mean Streak, Gemini, Millie, MaxAir, and Skyhawk (why are they running only one swing?) we went back to swim and relax. Came back around 5, and it started to rain. Ate dinner at Perkins....it was awful! We will definitely skip that place int he future. Just didn't like the food. Was able to enter again around 8. Saw MF running while we were on sky ride around 9:30. Booked it there and rode it in the dark!

Friday, the 28th, we jumped on MF for early entry and rode it three times. Rode with Mean Streak Henry on the second ride, and stood behind him in line the third. Kind of ironic to be by him on the MF though. Swung by Dragster, it was a 15 minute wait. Awesome! From there we went up front to check out line for GK. Youngest two didn't want to wait 45 minutes?!?! Rode Windseeker for the first time. Honestly.....that ride kind of freaks me out! I didn't realize you move so fast up there. Ate at Johnny Rockets, then on to MF again.

It was getting hot around 1:00, and we decided Soak City sounded fun. It was for an hour till.....another stupid storm hit. We went to the indoor pool at Breakers (along with every other guest). Got back in the park around 4:30.....The Wicked Twister was having issues that day and was up and down. Ate at Game Day Grille for the first time. I'm not too crazy about their food. I had read it was good, but I don't think we'll go back.

Waited for MF for half hour.....then saw another approaching storm. Decided to try the Gemini again, but they shut down rides with 2 trains to go. The park didn't reopen. We decided to head on home rather than sleep in a double bed again. Two people in a double bed? yeah....right.

We got a lot of good rides in, even with the rain. I missed being in the park at night though. Nothing like riding rides in the dark, looking at the lights, and I've yet to see Luminosity. Can't wait to go back!!!

The park reopened most of the rides that night around 9:15. At that point everything was a walk on. Got about 6 rides on Gatekeeper during that time.

I agree about being aggravated by FL in Maverick's line... I believe that queue has slowed down to a crawl due to FL.

Thrills Around the Corner!

Oh man! The park reopened??? Oh well at least I got to sleep in my own bed....almost worth missing a couple rides on Millie. I'm glad I'm not a big fan of Maverick. Why does it have the longest line?
