Another incredible trip down to the Point!
Weather was pretty much perfect all day, a light drizzle now and then keeping things cool. Everything seemed to be running very, very well. This time around I actually got to ride a bunch of stuff I hadn't so far this year! Some quick notes on the rides:
Magnum (2 rides)
Smoother than ever! I kept saying to Natalie that it's always been a toss up between Magnum and MF since last year as to which is my favorite coaster overall. Know what? Who needs a single fave coaster?? Then again, who needs either when you've got Mine Ride? ;o)
Blue Streak (2 rides)
All the stuff I'd been hearing about how much better it was running was right. Even with the seatbacks and lapbars it still gave a *wicked* good ride.
Raptor, Mantis ("what's Banshee???"), Gemini all were running extremely well. Got 2 rides in on MINE RIDE too! woo woo!
Somehow we managed to, without really trying, get on 13 of the 14 coasters in the park! Not to mention a whole buncha other stuff, all before 8 pm (except MF, which we rode sometime around 10).
I decided after the day was up that I need more trips like this. Just going and taking my time and not worrying about anything all day except for having a good time. It just seems like all my trips up until this one had been too hectic in comparison. Not to mention the drive there being as relaxing as it was. The drive home on the other hand :oP Maybe next time I'll be smart from now on and just spend the night when it gets that late!
Have to point out one of the drop dead funny moments of the day. We're in line for Mine Ride (am I correct?) and two girls are insisting that Magnum is sinking. We were nearly on the ground laughing and they *would not* believe us that it wasn't! Here's where it really gets funny... way later in the day we're sitting on a bench near Millennium Force and who shows up? The same two girls, claiming to be the daughters of "Rick Kinzel" babbling something about G.A. Boekling. What are they feeding kids these days? I was convinced that they were stalking us ever since we left Mine Ride.
Thanks go out to Natalie for putting up with me all day! I hope you found what we were looking for yesterday!
One question before I call it quits, why do they insist on leaving the SuperStar Studios open after park close??! (Someone here knows what I'm talking about)
That's all for round #4!

Putting up with you all day? The pleasure was all mine!
I had a great time as well, and at turnstiles today I figured out that we averaged 3.5555 rides per hour. Not too bad. :oP
