Started out around 4 in the morning and arrived at the park around 8.30 AM. Had a nice chat with the security guard about how it was my second visit of the season and how it was going to be my first dragster ride if I fit and if everything went well. After driving for three hours I wanted to ride at least one ride before starting my ERT’s so I went and rode MaxAir once. It still is the victor at least in my opinion between the two swing rides there. The length of it and the sensations of spinnin and being launched was well worth it.
After that I decided to go and let them know that I was there and that I was ready to do the ERT’s. This is where the trip got interesting. I then proceeded to meet Chris a assistant manager of some sort and we started walking. He asked me what rides I wanted to ERT on and I told him to lets start with raptor because I did not want him to walk around the whole park with me just wanted to go on a sinsinct order. Just so you know all these rides happened in front seat. So off we were going towards raptor and I rode it. Then we headed off to milli and I failed to fit so that was a no go. Then we went to Mantis and rode it. After that it was off to TTD and a date with destiny but it was shut down. So instead of waiting there with me the manager Chris just left them a note saying that I would be back for my rides when they reopened so I went to wait for magnum. No sooner had I gotten in line did Dragster reopened so I ran for it for my ERT’s.
So here I am at the station waiting for my train and then the fun began. Got seated and it took me like 5 minutes to get the belt buckled and the slack pulled but then I was ready to go. So here I am sitting on the track thinking what did I just get myself into. We pulled into the station and they were calling for a single rider and this guy jumped up and almost launched himself into the train. Needless to say he was a lucky guy indeed. Unknown to him I had asked the manager before if I could get two front seat rides back to back seeing as this was my first time riding and he had said yes. So anyways we were sittin on the track ready to be launched. Let me tell you that launch is like nonthing else there really is no words to describe it other the freakin unbelievable. The only thing about the ride that I do not like was the fact that you are not up on the tophat for more then like 5 seconds so you really do not get a chance to look around. Other then that a phenomenal ride. After my first ride it was time for me to ride again so they talked to the rider that rode with me and asked him to leave. He asked them why he could not just ride with me and the managers just kinda looked at me and I just said ya sure he can ride with me again so they let him. I think that we are the only two people in the world to get that as of yet a two ride back to back on front seat. The people in the line were pretty pissed off though. Oh well about time that a bigger rider get to laugh. I am sorry but it gets annoying when you have people laughing at you because you are bigger and have to struggle to fit so it was nice to kinda have a laugh…
After my ERT’S I just rode some of the various other rides and tried to fit onto wicked twister. I have to give two thumbs up for the wicked twister. There crew understood the fact that some riders are bigger and that they have trouble fitting on there ride. Went to the test seat and got the buckle almost in so I decided to try the train. Got to the train and got the buckle almost in and to the credit of the ride crew they really tried there hardest and really tried but it was a no go. So I am back to trying to lose some more weight in order to fit the rides that I have not ridden.
For the end of the night I decided to do a Raptor marathon seeing as it is my favorite ride in the park and I love it with a passion. 10 consecutive rides in a row and by that point the crew had gotten to know me and they gave me all some big smiles for my last ride of the night. I have a picture to post later that I just found goofy.
The only problem that I had with this trip was that I wanted a night ride on dragster so I went to park ops and asked them what I should do and they said that it was too much of a hassle for them so I should just not ride. They said that they had already gone above and beyond and seeing as that I could not get the belt fastend in a sinsinct amount of time that I could not ride again. Is there really a rule for that now that says you have to have your restraint fastend in x amount of seconds or else you do not ride. I really did not appreciate being told that I could not ride due to the fact that I was not going to be able to get the belt fastend in a certain amount of time…

I am baffled as to why they let you ride two times in a row in the front seat. I'm not trying to be mean, but I know that if I was waiting for the front for however long they were (which was probably close to an hour) I would be pretty "pissed off" as well. The same thing happened to me in 2004- I had waited through the entire queue (2 hours) and decided it was worth it to wait for the front seat. Low and behold, a group of four people walked up the exit and into my family's seats in the first car when we were at the gates. With the way the station is set up, this caused us to wait for an extra 3 trains to launch before we were finally seated.
Well, congratulations on fitting in the seat, nonetheless.

The reason i got 2 back to back rides was due to the fact that it was my first time riding or else i would not have cared. I had just heard you need to ride it twice to get the full effect...
What do you think though of them telling me to not wait for a night ride ??
Well, it depends....what do you mean by "not waiting"? Not waiting in line like everyone else, or not waiting to allow you the extra time to buckle the seat belt after skipping the line?

Not allowing extra time to fasten the belt... I had every intention of waiting in line the normal length...
Oh, well, then I don't know. You shouldn't have even asked them about it and just got in line anyways I suppose. If you got it buckled once you could have gotten it buckled again.

If there is anyone on here that was there on thursday and was pissed off at the fat person riding TTD twice then I do apologize...
I would have definatly ridden it twice but not in a row. Also they gave you all those favors and they don't have to let you ride, but you still want to cut all of the people who have been waiting forever. I support you losing weight and becoming a thinner healthier person, but I wouldn't take advantage of your situation.
New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
Dude did you not read my other thread the reason i had the erts was not due to the fact that I am fat it is due to the fact that i fit the test seat and the ride ops kicked me off twice after waiting in line for alomst 2 hours on my previous visit so yes i deserved the erts...
Anyways how did you like the trip report ??
I think what he's getting at is that you got the courtesy rides, and you may or may not have deserved them in the eyes of some of the people here, but they really did go above and beyond and did way more than they had to.
All he is saying is that any more and it might have been seen as taking advantage of their kindness.
Thats cool...
I was just wonderin what your thoughts were if I had decided to wait in the line for a night ride.. Did they have a right to kick me off if it took me 5 minutes to get the belt buckled... To me that seems wrong I have every right just like the next guy so what if it takes 5 min to get the restraint fastend I still want to ride... I just dont want on my next trip be like oh well you cant fit in in 5 min so your kicked off when i know that i can fit... Or else we would be back at square one...
Anyways how did you like the other parts of my trip report....
WOW Eleazar721 I cant believe you didnt ride Milli!!!! Oh well it sounded like a good trip anyway. :]
Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27
Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini
Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-
They wouldn't give you 10 minutes to get the belt fastened on Milli?
If you can't get the belt fastened in a timely fashion (under 60-90 seconds, tops) then they shouldn't have to hold everything up just so you can fit. I'm glad you are using this as motivation to lose weight, but your POV is a little skewed.

But there is no official ruling one way or another so I say they should give you the time it takes...
Its people like you jugga that make this forum a place for little kids to spat off and say they are better in one way or another.... How old are you anyways 2 ??
Take it easy. You seem very touchy, but there's nothing in his post to take offense to. It's people like JuggaLotus that make this a strong community.
Why is it wrong for them, for the sake of moving things along, to say you can't ride? They have a ride to run and thousands of other guests who want to ride. The official ruling is that it doesn't fit. They don't have all day to help you ride and you have no "right" to ride.
Talk about the pot and the freakin kettle. You cried your way up the management chain until you got your "ERT" and then you call me 2 for saying that is a load of crap.
Again, I really hope your weight loss goes well and I'm glad you found a motivating tool (its different for everyone). But next time you don't fit, don't complain about it, use it as extra motivation. Turn the anger where it belongs, not at the ops or management but at your condition.

But there are other people in line, and one of the aspects of the job of the ride hosts is to get those people on the ride quickly as well as in compliance with all safety regulations (1/2" of slack comes to mind).
By taking 5 minutes to fasten the belt, you aren't allowing them to accomplish either.
When you take that much time to get strapped in, all trains have returned to the final brakes by that point, so you have at least one train load of people sitting just outside the unload station in the sun, anxious to get out of the ride. What if someone on that train had a bloody nose, or was feeling sick?
The point I think I'm trying to make here is that, while there may be no posted sign that says you may not have all the time in the world to fasten your safety belt, common courtesy says that after a minute an a half or so, you should probably step aside. On MF, they will allow you to step off to the side and try again, I have seen them allow it more than once this year while I was waiting.
Taking 5 minutes to buckle the belt only benefits one person (you), but it can have a negative effect on 36 or more.
Sorry for blowing jugga , but lets look at this in logical terms...
It says right on your map or whatever that some rides may not accomadate riders of exceptional size or weight and to try out the test seat at the front of each ride in order to assure that you will fit.
It does not say that the buckle must be fastend in about 2 min or else you do not get to ride it just states that the belt must fasten and you must pull the required 1/2 inch of slack.
Now after driving for 3 hours and going to the test seat and sitting there for a couple minutes trying to get the belt buckled and with very little to no help from the ops finnaly getting it fastended do you not think that I should be able to ride ?? I belive that after going through the trouble of fitting the test seat and being like yes I can ride that they should do everything to assure that your day goes well after spending nearly 85 dollars just to get into there park...
Its called taking care of your future... Because Cedar Point took the time to accomadate and ammend a bad situation it causes me to want to go back to the park even more and to keep losing the weight in order to a.)Make it easier to fit B.) To not cause so much trouble C.) To hopefully ride the ride that has been out of my grasp since they put it in that WT :)
So yes I did get aggitated and I am sorry but at least take a second and see it from the other side of the tracks....
