June 14-16

So my family and I made the drive from Cincinnati on Tuesday the 14th. We arrived at our Cabin in Lighthouse Point around 9 P.M. I honestly do not know why more people do not talk about these cabins! They were awesome. I believe one cabin goes for around $235 this time of year, which isn't too bad considering it is a Cedar Point Resort. Anyways, after settling in and unpacking, we headed over for a walk on the beach. It was a bit chilly, but it was a nice atmosphere with the lights from the beautiful Breakers hotel and the park itself.

We woke up the next morning at 9 A.M. for our early entry rides on Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. We saw the dreaded signs saying that "Top Thrill Dragster will not be open today". We were dissapointed, as this will be our only trip for 2005. So we headed over to Millennium Force and grabbed an incredible back seat ride. When we got off the line was nearly to the pop machines, so we opted to head for the back of the park. We first hit Mean Streak, followed by Gemini and Magnum. We then headed up towards Power Tower, and chose to ride the red side(s). All of the forementioned rides were basically walk-ons. Dragster showed no signs of opening anytime soon, so we walked on by it. We then rode Mantis, with about a 15 minute wait. The line for Millennium Force stretched to the pop machines, but we decided to wait it out. After about 1.5 hours, we were once again in the back seat of the red train. The crew was doing a decent job of dispatching trains as frequently as possible, but still not as great as in years past.

We then walked over to Raptor, only to find a nearly full queue! I estimated it would be a little over an hour, and we decided to wait it out. We got our freeway stamps for 5-6 and then got in line. We got an amazing front seat ride with only an extra 10 minute wait. It was the best Raptor ride I have had in years. Wicked Twister had a 45 minute wait, but some in our group had never ridden before, so we decided to wait it out. After a few minutes, the train had an e-stop, so we left the line. We ate dinner at the T.G.I. Fridays in the Breakers. It took about an hour and a half, but the service was good and our waiter was friendly. After dinner came our Millennium Force marathon. We got in 4 rides in 1.5 hours. We got the second last train of the night and then headed back to the cabin 13 hours and 45 minutes later. MF is incredible at night! This was my first night ride, and it was amazing, especially at night.

Once again we woke up and headed into the park at 9. The dreaded TTD signs were out yet again, but I thought otherwise. All the trains had been put on the track and a few crew members were walking around the station. Around 11, we ended up on Power Tower. From there I noticed quite a few people bustling around the station of TTD. So we went over to the grandstands, bought a hoagie, and watched. Seemingly out of nowhere, the metal fins dropped and the yellow train launched! It got very close to clearing the hill, but I witnessed my first rollback. We immediately walked to the entrance, and became the 6th -10th people in line. After several more tests, another rollback, and a near stalling on the top hat, we were led into the queue and up into the station. We had a 1 train wait for the front seat. All I can say is wow! My third Dragster ride was once again incredible, and the forces in the front were amazing. By this time nearly half the park had made a mad rush toward the coaster, so we left and rode MF again, follwed by Raptor and Power Tower, all with much shorter lines. We then went back to Dragster, and in exactly 50 minutes, we were sitting in the back row. It seemed like we barely cleared the top hat, but it was once again incredible.

We left around 7 P. M. for the return trip to Cincinnati. All in all, another awesome trip to Cedar Point. This year we actually had great weather and the crowds were very manageable!

October 13 - Finally!

Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15

Can anyone else not see anything on my first post? I typed out a whole page in Word and then copied and pasted it into the box. It all appeared in the box, but when I clicked "submit" it just posted a blank box. I saved it in Word, so maybe I will try to post it again. Well, yes I did enjoy my trip. Alot, actually.

Can't wait to see it!! haaa

Good tr, Thurs. was a great day wasn't it? Great weather and a lot of walkons.

First trip June 23rd

Thursday was excellent, too bad I had to leave at 7. Dragster was running the best I have ever seen, despite the one hour breakdown, or "hiccup" as I have heard it called.

Coaster Count: 147

It really was running beautifully. I only saw one rollback on Thursday and Friday, and the trains seemed to be launching pretty regularly.

Are you sure this isn't the Atlantic Ocean?

GO TIGERS!
