June 10 Magnum day

Magnum 43 rides. I'll go in depth later. MF 6 rides, and the rest of the rides got 1 or 2 laps. Managed to get on ALL the rides except Mine Ride. I never thought that a weekend in June would I do this without it being both in the beginning of June and on a weekday. But I guess irony is a b**** isn't it?

I saw a few people trying to hop laps on Mag too. They knocked off a good 20 before they gave out. Was it any of you? Did anyone see me!? lol I had on all blue. Blue checker shirt and denim blue jeans and silver Nike shoes. I am 5'9. *** This post was edited by OnRide Pic Freak on 6/12/2001. ***

Early on I was wearing a purple Magnum shirt,then changed due to ripped shorts. I ended up putting on purple Ghostrider shirt

Cool, how many laps did you knock off on Magnum?

The amazing thing to me is that OnRide Pic Freak has more rides than me on Magnum but for whatever reason I have never met and or seen him, help me figure this one out, if someone rides Magnum a lot I know them.

OnRide Pic Freak-how long ago did you do this? I agree with Dan,it seems weird that we haven't met. We've never even been told by ride-ops about someone else with so many rides. And we've known the ops personally for several years now.

Ask them about me. Sometimes, when Magnum is empty they start up convos but it's sorta rare when Magnum is completely empty like that. But a couple of times, ONE time at Millennium Mania, there was a time when Magnum was empty and one of the ops joked, "you might as well sit down and keep riding." But I wanted to change seats so... lol

I've done some nice amount of laps with people I didn't know. Is it any of you? Remember, I am the black kid, about 5 '9, with the cornrows who talks A LOT and thinks he knows everything there is to know about coasters.

I'd be nervous to say "hi too.. after all.. he is Magnum DAN!!!!! ;)

Exactly. Another reason I was nervous. I thought he was going to be all big headed and arrogant and like ignore me or something.

By the way, Red, I assume you're the MF guy. You have the most laps right? Because I am no where near what you have. I've like 140. :refers to book:

Very cold day in 99. Me and this red headed woman. The two people I went left me so I just rode with her for hours.

I agree with Dan, we should have heard about it. We've been close to ride-ops. Neither one of us are trying to be rude here. It's just weird that we haven't heard. That's all.

I told Dan that I totally understand his frustration and yours. But I also told him he can forget that it ever happened because we will make an appointment for me :clearing my throat: us to do it all over so it will be definite on your perspectives. Possibly do 100 maybe?

Not coutning the Gemini 100 you can't plan a day out in advance to do a major marathon of 50 or more laps becsue there are too many variables that have to fall into the right place;

ie; crowds, weather, number of trains running, maintenance issues are the main issues that have to be flawless to get major laps in.

The first time I did 70 the crowds were light, the weather was borderline bad and I was afraid that maintenance would close the ride becasue the trims weren't working.
