July 6th

First thing we did when we arrived at the park was go down to TTD, since it appeared to be running. We waited for about an hour, then it broke down, so we just went to Magnum and had a good ride, it seemed to be running well.

After Magnum we headed to Mean Streak. It gave possibly the roughest ride I have ever had in my life, and the trims on the first drop are rediculous, but that being said it was still enjoyable.

Millennium Force was up next, and it was running awesome as usual. The wait was almost unbearable (a little over an hour) in the scorching heat. I wasn't sure if I would be able to ride, but I was able to get around 2 inches of slack so I was alright. The 5 friends I was with had never ridden MF before, and they all loved it so it still has it's punch. We were stuck on the brake run for a while as the ride broke down, but eventually rhey came out and manually undid our lap bars so we could get out. So I guess we did luck out once for the day, as we were the last train to ride for a good hour, maybe more I'm not sure.

Mantis was up next, and I actually had an enjoyable ride on this monster, for maybe the first time ever. Still not worth the hour and a half wait, IMO, especially considering the fact that you can get 6 or 7 rides on Raptor in in that time period.

At this point we were so hot and exhausted we actually had to head over to Thunder Canyon, which is something I almost never do. We got drenched, of course, but it felt a lot better than standing around in that heat.

Speaking of Raptor, we headed there next. I can never understand why the line is always so short, even in the middle of summer. It either has an amazing crew or it has lost some of it's novelty, but for my money it is still the best ride in the park.

We headed to Power Tower for a ride on the red side. Luckily I got a seat of the side that faces TTD, and noticed it was running again, with next to nobody in line. So we literally ran over there and got in line. We were all the way up the top of the ramp, when a train barely even left the launch area. They let it roll back, then tried again. Same result. So in the end we had about three hours of wait time, with nothing to show for it. Now I can understand the problems they are having with the ride, as I experienced them last year, but my friends were fired up to say the least. They couldn't believe they wasted 3 hours of the day for nothing. CP needs to resolve the problems that TTD is having, and quick. A $25 million piece of machinery is supposed to work, not only launch 3 or 4 trains then fail again. I got a ride in last year, so it didn't really bother me, but I can see why they would be so po'ed.

We ended up leaving after TTD broke down again, I think it was around 7:45. I'm not sure what the temperature was during the day, but the scroll still said it was 88 degrees when we left, and it felt incredibly cool at that point. I would say it was an alright day, we only got 7 rides in in around 10 hours, but I guess that's what you should expect in the middle of summer. I hope I can get back before I go away to school next year, but I'm going ot Notre Dame so I guess I could always get some people together and make a trip out during the fall if I have to.

I was at Raptor on the 6th and during my Freeway time there was a large group on the line, which made the line behind us large. I'll agree and say the Raptor is one of the better coasters in the park, if not the world.
You're right Raptor is amazing and so is the crew. All 4 times I rode it on the 6th and 7th the crew ran between rows and between their stations to dispatch the train.
