July 5th= Fullday
July 6th= StarLight
Came into Ohio from Kentucky on the 4th (concluding the family vacation-Started in MN, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, back to MN) Drove around CedarPoint on the 4th and watched all the rides and got "pumped up" (Watched Millennium Force for at least 20mins)
Skipped Fireworks to go to bed early at Breakers Express.
Woke up early, skipped breakfest cause me being excited and food don't mix well.
Got to the park at 8:30 or so (only 10 other cars in the parking lot) and walked to the entrance by Millennium Force and that's when it made my day. Millennium Force will not be open today. I was in a pissy mood by 9 when they let us in and fastly walked to TTD, sat and waited in line outside the ride there untill it opened at 10. Front seat, extra 10 min. wait.
It's hard to remember the order of all the stuff I did but Mantis was the only ride that we got to walk-on. Because everyone else was on TTD. WT was not worth the 40min. wait that day
In the afternoon I got frustrated with all the crowds and other reasons, and almost left the park for good but decided to wait for Raptor. 1hours 45mins. We did however leave the park at 7pm. Drove by MF and saw the mechanic working on the ride and moving the trains out of the station (Blue in unloading zone, red and yellow on the side outside the unloading zone) and leave for the night.
I was going to buy a reg. ticket for the second day untill Millennium Force broke down so we got up at 7:30 and went over to the park to see if it was running. Millennium Force will not be open today. Also checked the website and said the same thing. Went back to sleep. On the 4th, some guy and his kids gave us 4-tickets to Soak City because they said they didn't use them. (We only used 2. I think we still have them. So if anyone wants them I guess you can have them) So we went to Soak City on the 6th for a while, which was a lot of fun. Some of the waterslides there are scarier than some of the coasters at CP :)
The 6th was crowded as hell...
Came into CP at 5pm using our StarLight tickets. Walked to Magnum, funny tho, cause on our way-they played my favorite song "California Dreamin'" which was cool. 1-1and1/2 hour wait. Then went to Gemini which was a lot better than I remember it being. Had to wait 1hour and 1/2 for Raptor. 1hour and 1/2 for Mantis.
Got in line for TTD at 9:30or so. On the ride at 11:11. Best time I ever had on a rollercoaster. The whole train was screaming for a rollback and did everything we could to get it. But we didn't, still a lot of fun. First time ever on TTD at night, and by far a lot better at Night. Back seat I thought was a lot more intense than the front.
So we started and ended with TTD.
If it wasn't for that last ride on TTD I would say that my trip to CedarPoint sucked. I know it's a harsh word but it didn't live up to what I thought it would be (mainly because of MF) and yes I know that rollercoasters break and there was nothing they or I could do to change that but MF was one of the main reasons for our 640mile trip. And I've had MF as my wallpaper on the computer since Jan. It's my dad 2nd fav. coaster (Right behind The Beast)
It was fun, exciting, and dissapointing. Everything a CP trip should be. The dissapointing parts of the trip are the parts that keep bringing me back
Maybe next year millie :)

I feel your pain. In 2004 TTD was down the whole week I was there and it was my only trip of the year.
But hey you can take a nap at the hotel instead of MF.
<Matt>
101 on Magnum and counting...
I'm sorry, but how can one ride being down wreak your trip.
I once had a trip (12 hour day) and rode a total of 9 rides (the park was extremely busy). Raptor was the largest ride I went on, TTD was closed, maXair was closed, MF had a 3 hour wait, WT shut down just as I was getting in the station, and I ran out of time to ride Magnum. All of that and I still had a great time. I love TTD and all, but I fully understand that it is closed because it has to be and I'm never shocked when it happens.
Disappointed is a better word than sucked.

I totally feel your pain. We went up from Indianapolis for Memorial Day, and Millennium and Maxair were down. ;( We only go once every two years, and it can really take away from the trip, seeing those massive rides, and realizing that it will be two years until I get another chance to ride them again. Thank goodness for webcams! :D
Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless

I have only been to CedarPoint probably 5 fuc***g times. That's how one ride would wreak my trip.

Both times I went to SFoT I didn't get to ride half of their rides and it didn't wreck my trips.
The first time I went they lost power and I only ended up with a ride on Titan and Texas Giant, IIRC.
The second time I went they were building superman, and had half the park closed off. No Judge Roy Scream, Batman:The Ride, Mr Freeze, Flashback, etc.
I still enjoyed myself.
It's possible to enjoy your day at America's Rock and Roller Coast even without Millennium Force or Dragster. It's not like the park went from unfun to fun in 2000 :P
...uh when did I saw it wasn't fun?
I said I was disspointed...

I think I would still have a good time even if every ride was closed. CP is just that great of a place.
Some come for the rides, I come for the park. *** Edited 7/10/2006 6:37:31 AM UTC by Gomez***

Why does someone who likes rollercoasters or cedar point have to be known as an "enthusiast"?
Why can't I just be known as a person who likes to go to Cedar Point a lot?
I guess I offended someone without even knowing it.

I'd plan for May or early June too for another CP trip mr Scott. Think I'll try Kennywood and a few other parks next year but I'll be back! Cp is fine even without the big thrill rides. Magnum and mean streak were my favorite coasters. I still like the landscaping at Busch williamsburg better but it's hilly country not lakeshore. Next trip I'll stay on site too. Food values are good, attendants were helpful, good mix of old, new, and kiddie rides.
Magnum was only 45 min that day. Sure the sign might have read more. But since they sped up the lift to its original speed, the line moves really fast and that's how long it takes to go through all 4 queues (unless it goes down or has many set-ups while in line).

Well I know I waited at least an hour for it.
