July 4th through 6th? Help!

Hello,

So my boyfriend and I are headed to CP on July 4th! We are going to get settled then make it to starlight that night. Then we will be spending all of the 5th and all of the 6th inside the park. I am sure the 4th will be busy but seeing as it falls on a Wednesday and the following days are Thursday, Friday, how busy would you guess it will be? Should we just invest I'm Fast Lane. Truthfully, I have gone every year since I was born and usually we go the week after and it's always busy. What does everyone THINK? I know that it is almost inpredictable but educated guesses? Thank you very much : )

Meg, you can't be surprised that no one answered you by 3 AM surely? LOL We have gone every year around the fourth for 20+ years because we love the fireworks. It is usually more crowded on the holiday and afterwards than the couple days prior. But this year is unpredictable because of the midweek holiday. The park (and beach)WILL be very crowded on the evening you plan to buy starlight, but you can stay later than most since your bed is only a short walk away. We stay at the campgrounds so never have to fight the traffic. Educated guess would be Fast Lane for Friday, not Thursday. I'd wait and see before blowing the extra cash.

Meg, you can buy FL in many of the stores and kiosks around the park. So... I'd wait and see how the lines are on Thursday and if they are longer than you want to wait, just walk to the nearest kiosk and get your FL... they are TOTALLY worth the extra money if you can spare it!
