July 3rd and 4th

We always go to CP on my birthday, Jul 4th and this was no exception.

Saturday was a very good day.The weather was nice for this time of year and the lines weren't too long. The new ride ,maXair, immediately became my wifes favorite, but I was not too much into upside down rides as that makes me feel bad.I pretty much stuck to the "baby" rides and a couple of shows. The 60s show was the same as last year, but we enjoyed it.The Ice show was the best one yet, although I would like it better without the kiddie, snoopy stuff.

We rode the train several times as well as the Sky Ride. All in all it wasn't a typical day for us , we didnt even eat at the sit down restaurants.

Sunday was tooooooooo hot.My wife Carol completely gave out.I guess she didnt drink enough water.Next time we wont make that mistake again. We did the diving show which I like better than expected. We ate ice cream and ate at the Macaronis.Basically we did a lot of walking, riding and eating. The show ,the main one at the parks entrance, was excellent.

We learned a lesson, dont go to CP on the hot days. Its OK when you're younger, but as you get older,it just doesn't seem like the body can take it like it used to.Thats two days at CP without a single coaster ride.I cant believe it.My wife did ride maXair and Chaos but thats it.Still, we had a nice time as Cedar point is where we got married and its our special place.

I was there on the 4th and fifth, and yah, it was very hot the 4th. We got a two-hour break midday as we checked into Breakers Express, but other than that, we got several free cups of water, and rode on...

Ohhhh that's so sweet!! I wanted to get married at CP also, but we ended up doing a quickie JP wedding. Maybe a vow renewal someday.... it's my favorite place!

where/when were you married at cp? i didnt think the park allowed that. but i guess if an official comes in with you and you read the vows it doesnt really matter does it...

I'm staying home right now because of the heat, while my parents, daughter, sisters, nieces and nephews are enjoying the park. It's too hot for me and I've been there enough and will go again soon!

Sorry I took so long to reply,I wasn't notified of the post.

We were married on July 4th in 2003.We did the ceremony on the Big wheel and had our wedding dinner on what then was The Boat House.

They sure do allow weddings, but they make no special arrangements. You're pretty much on your own. Some parks allow weddings even on coasters'

This year we actually saw at CP a wedding party in full regalia.Wedding dress, and tuxes. We wore just typical amusement park attire.Jeans and white shirts embroidered with wedding stuff.
