Not sure if I can remember all the stuff I did but I'll try. haha :)

Me and my dad got there a day earlier than we planned. So we didn't have a hotel the first night and my dad didn't want to pay $150 for an addition night at Breakers Express. We also didn't have internet so he could see the hotel ratings. He called some number and got us a cheap hotel...The Comfort Inn (the one right by the turn off to Cedar Point). We got in around 5 or 6. That hotel needs to be repainted. Walked to our room on the bottom floor and noticed that 4 baby skunks were no more than 10 feet away from our door. My dad went back and asked for a new room because we didn't want to risk it. We then went to CP and

**my favorite part of this whole trip!** went into the Season Pass line!! My birthday is Aug 17th but we can't go to CP around then because of my soccer and school starting. So my dad bought me a Cedar Point Maxx Pass + Joe Cool Club so I can go to Valleyfair up here around my birthday and again during their Halloween Haunt. This is the first time I have ever had a season pass and have wanted one for years! I am very excited that I got one. I
didn't like the camera they used for the picture tho. Fish-type lens or something. Streched my face out and the picture looks nothing like me. haha

Because my dad is so old he can' go on all the rides- for 3 days straight so he didn't get a season pass. And my friend that was suposed to go with me is moving to Mississippi and had to stay behind and pack. So I went into the park by myself the first night. Went on..TTD about a 45-60min wait. Awesome. That launch gets me everytime! haha. Millennium Force!!!! finally! I waited 2 years for that ride because last time we were there it was broken for about a month. As I got off Millennium Force it was 9:55 and I didn't think I would be able to make it to Maverick so I got back in line for MF around 10. They didn't close the gate untill about 10:10 so I probably would have made it to Maverick. About an hour wait and there were probably 15-20 people behind me in line. 2 groups of 2 guys jumped though the line around 10:30 and the employees sweeping the path didn't seem to care. When we got to the station- I was suposed to be on the "last" ride of the night but they filled the car full and the remaing 4 guys that jumped the fence after the line was closed lucked out and got their own car so I was on the "almost" last ride of the night. then went back to our crappy hotel :)

Aug 1 (my dad went by Breakers Express and bought his 2 ride and slide day tickets to the park so he could get in early along with me)

Woke up. Checked out. and headed to the MF entrance because my dad wasn't convinced that the entrance by Magnum was closed to Maverick. BIG, BIG MISTAKE. I tried to run-but my dad couldn't keep up, haha, so I walked-his jog to Maverick. The time we got there the line was 45mins. Waste of "getting in the park early" then went to MF, and TTD. Mantis. My dad left and went to Soak City while I went on Raptor because he hated that ride but it's my favorite :) Magnum, TTD (again), Maxair, and the Matterhorn. Then my dad came back and we went on a few more rides and left around 9:30.

My first ride on Maverick was awesome. We got the front seat. I thought it was alright. My head banged around a lot but damn, that's a fun ride.

Aug 2

I insisted that we get to the entrance EARLY because I knew people would be lining up. But my dad said we would be fine, again he was wrong. haha. There were a good 100 people in front of us around 8:30. They started letting people in around 8:50 but had the thing roped off. I told my dad I'm sprinting because I wanted to get infront of the now 150-200 people in front of us. and told him I would meet him at the exit of Maverick. They let the rope down and I was gone. Felt like a TTD train. Varsitry track star right here baby. 100M dash- 11.57 freshmen year :)
I booked it. I heard people saying "JEEZE, look at that kid run" and "run forest, run" When I got in line I was the 12th person in line for the ride because I felt my asthma kickin after crossing the railroad tracks. haha. They launched 2 trains with only 2 people in the front seat. One was workers and I don't know about the other two. But I was in the first full train. Out of breathe and now sweating I rode Maverick for a 2nd time, this time I was in the 2nd car, 1st row. It was a lot better because I knew what to expect and when to brace myself and liked it better than the first time riding it. After that we went to MF. and then TTD. We were done with the first 3 big rides by 10:30. After that I did pretty much the same thing as the previous day with my dad again, taking a break and going to Soak City. We left around 8pm
A great trip at Cedar Point:)

Breakdowns
Disaster Transport- 1hr and 1/2 suposedly, the family behind me in line for Maxair was telling me.

the same time as DT breakdown Wicked Twister was down but was up later in the day.

TTD had 2 15min, almost the same, breakdowns, then about a 10min one when I was actually sitting in the car in the station.

my first time on Maverick took FOREVER because I waited for the front seat and they took out a train, it was still before 10am. they ran it once without people in it. then took it out. I think the train said "SAM" on it and was copper. I was in the station and the ride ops took their dear ol' good time.

Overall a great trip. HOT. But great! Can't wait till next year! :)

Sounds like a great trip! How was your stay at Breakers Express?

Holy cow I forgot 2 things.

1. MF stopped on the lift hill during testing. Only for a bit-then was running fine.

(Comfort Inn is like a motel so the doors connect outside)
2. BUGS! At our stay at the Comfort Inn we had the problem with the "June Bugs" There was a letter on our table in our room that said they couldn't do anything about it and not to call the front desk. Anyways when we got back there were probably 100 bugs on our door because they are attracted to light and there are lights that shine on the doors. I took my park map-stupid me because it was the only one I had for this year and I keep them for souvineers- and rolled it up and started hammering away at the door. I thought we were good but when we opened the door there were probably another 100 or 200 bugs sitting our the upper walls inside the hotel room. The letter said bug spray didnt' work so we took our "Complementry Newspaper" and starting swating at the suckers. About 30 mins later we killed 70% of them and went to bed. Then I swear the people that were kiddy-corner to us or next to us were up late doing having sex or something because we could hear some loud male and female moaing and it was very awkward trying to fall asleep to that noise-especially when your with your dad. haha. That was probably the worst experience I had at a hotel. haha.

The Breakers Express was great. They are smart as hell. They realized that they couldn't "get rid of all these bugs". They HIDE the bugs. There lobbies are very high-and the lights are up in the ceiling and covered up so it is hard to notice all the bugs. And their rooms are connected to a hallway-inside. :)

My Ride Ops have to take their 'good ol' time' because there are several policies in which most guests are not aware of that take extra time while transferring on/off. There's quite alot most people aren't aware of that goes on and several things that either have to be completed or in position before we can move a train off or on.

I know that. It just bugged me that the ride ops were just standing there talking to each other and didn't tell us what they were doing. The guy on the mic was asking people for "Good jokes" that were family friendly. They could have said that they were removing a train-and that it would take some time. Then the guy that went to press the buttons to take the train out- walked over in the "control room" or whatever and went to get his Sunglasses. He literally walked no more than 10 feet to go and switch the train. (I didn't think there was a need to go and get your sunglasses) Walked very, very slowly to and from the spot where he was. And when he got back- was still telling jokes. And then we finally got on the train and had to wait about another 3-5mins before leaving because the people had sunglasses. While they were switching the train-they could have mentioned to take off your sunglasses and other loose articles-instead of waiting untill people already but down their restraint- and then having the ride op take 5 pairs of sunglasses over to the bins. and have to come back to check all the restraints.
I just think they could have managed their time better-especially when the park hasn't been open for more than 30mins. *** Edited 8/6/2007 6:00:00 PM UTC by DrunkinMonkey***

On the 1st I think it was the MF was stuck for ehh 30 minutes? at around 9:00

I got it on camera...people stuck on the lift.

Then during the day the Raptor was down with people on the lift. I got that on camera as well.

It was SUPER HOT. We stayed at the Comfort Inn on Milan right by the highway. It was our 2nd time and we had good rooms. Outside pool w/ a pool side bar. In door pool and jacuzzi / sauna.

I don't think we will stay there again though just to try something new.
