So here I am laying in bed. Listening to the wind. It's three AM and I have been sleeping on and off all night. They ditch me with the Hot Pink, broken sleeping bag. I doze back to sleep. Then wake up fifteen minutes later. I decide to get up to get a drink of water. My friend apparently had the same idea. We got our water and sat outside for a couple minutes watching the coasters (all dark) before going back to bed.
Upon waking up we realized that the night of peaceful sleep wasn't that peaceful. The sun was turning the camper into a rather hot place. I got up later than everyone (I was the only one to be all ready the night before). I watched the maintenance workers walk the Mean Streak track over a bowl of Cherios. What an awesome looking coaster.
We were finally ready to take on the long day at the park by 10:00. The rides were already running, but the park was dead. We hit Magnum first, followed by Corkscrew and PT up. All walk ons. We then headed over to Disaster Transport. Walked on Ocean Motion. Schwabinchen was 20 minutes and Giant Wheel was 45. So we skipped them. What is this? Space Spiral was running both levels. Ran over only to find that the line for the top was full. We rode the bottom and headed for DT. 45 minutes wait for our flight. There seems to be a lot of things going on in the Control room. The was a big (white kind) crane parked outside with a bunch of crates. The Emergency door was open.
We got a decent ride on DT before heading over to Space Spiral again. Finally, got to rid it in the top. I was disappointed to find very little difference from the bottom. It is much hotter, but the windows are cleaner. The ceiling is also different, and there is a hatch to get on top of the cabin.
Headed to Demon Drop. Short wait before shooting over to Raptor. A two hour wait for Raptor. We decided to go and eat at the Market. I Got a dollar off with my Joe Cool. Had some good food before heading out to Raptor. An hour wait, reasonable. We rode it, and sat in the back seat as always.
We then headed over to Blue Streak and found a full queue awaiting us. Skipped it and went to Cedar Downs. It was running nice, as usual. Headed over to the Laser Show area to see how lines where on the fearsome four. Iron Dragon was the only one worth the wait. Got on it with about a 15 minute wait. Then we headed over to Gemini. Got two rides on Gemini (all of us in the front). Red Gemini's hill is faster than Blue's. It passed us up on the lift!
We then headed to Woodstock Express. Had a nice walk on before heading back to camp. Let the other folks in my group change into there bathing suits before shooting over to the water rides. Rode WWL with about a half hour wait. Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls where both ten minutes.
We then hit Mean Streak and Mine Ride (both walk ons) before heading over to Raptor for the GTTP meeting. met Red Garter Rob, CP Irvine and her Boy Friend, and a few others. We then proceeded into Raptor's line (45 minutes) ahead of them to wait for the front. Well, we waited and waited and finally it was our time for the front. Well, we rode and got off, checked out our picture, went to the bathroom, and got Cheese on a Stick. They never came off the ride!
We headed over to Blue Streak and got a five minute wait. This coaster was seriously putting out. Awesome ride!
We finally headed over to PT down before the fireworks. A half hour wait. We requested BNL's $1,000,000. then we headed over to the Laser Midway to watch the works. Awesome fireworks show! We rode Wildcat (half hour) before the Laser Show started. Awesome Laser Show by the way. Did they change it from previous years? My guess is that the new moving projector will play a major role in Halloweekends Drive In.
headed over to Mantis for a walk on after the laser show (everyone ran to Iron Dragon and Millennium Force). It was time to head over to Millennium Force for our finale ride. The clock was about to hit midnight!

Clever, MF would be day 3 :)
Blues Lift has been screwy lately. Actually you can say that for the whole side. Every wheel on those trains feels like they are square! What impresses me is the crews ability to still get them to race good!

Live for FUN!
Don't let life fly by.
The status of Gemini...
B side (Blue) lift has been having some reset problems. It's been shutting down then won't restart. A few things were replaced but has caused the chain motor to run a little slower than A side.
The crew pretty much has it figured out when to let A side go to catch B side at the top of the hill for a race.
