Hey everyone!
This is my first post here. I hit up CP last Wednesday, thinking it was going to be a total waste. T-storms were forecasted before noon and scattered in the afternoon. We got there and got in through the back gates, hit up Maverick first, gave a great ride as usual. Then headed over to Millennium, which for some reason, they closed the line about 10 people behind us. They were only running the yellow train, which I thought was weird... Took about an hour and a 15 minutes to get from the vending machines to the platform. Oh well, it was a great ride, as usual! Not too mention we were the last train before they closed it down for a few hours.
Noon rolled around, no sign of the thunderstorms. Check the radar on my phone and it showed it just skirting south of The Point. I was keeping an eye on a huge squall line pushing through and I was sure it was going to have it's way with CP...
In the mean time, we rode TTD, Raptor, Mean Streak (Oh man, that girl gets more angry every year), Gemini (blah blah), Wicked Twister (gotta love that simple ride). The launcher on WT was hilarious. He was counting down from 3 for every launch, then for ours, he went to count down and said "3......2......BIRTHDAY CAKE! hahahaha look at all of your faLAUNCH!!!!!!" and off we went. We rode maxair right after WT, this kid next to me lost his lunch but luckily I was on the side that ended up clean. It was awesome sounding though...
Anyway, the crowds were still down, even for that "low price Wednesday" deal. I love going on days when the forecast is awful but it stays rideable all day. Keeps the people away.
I have another trip planned for next week!
