I went to the point yesterday. It started off really hot and it was decently crowded. Around 8 it started to rain and by 8 30 lightening along with heavy downpoors forced most rides to stop. I was about to leave but then decided to make one last sweep through the park, being by the Witches Wheel I started the loop through Frontiertown to the Frontiertrail. By the time I got to Millennium Force (about 9 20) the rain had stopped and a huge shout from the station could be heard. Instantly I, and about 20 people who were still around, made a quick sprint to the line and were all on in about 10 minutes.
I write this report because I had PRIDE in my park today. Most other parks would let the crews shut each ride down and then send them home for the night. However, Cedar Point opened their rides back up with less then 30 minutes left in the day. Plus they put on Hot Summer Lights with an extreme minimum amount viewing it. Once again, other parks would have cancelled the show due to weather and saved some money.
Keep it up CP!
