July 16th

We got to the park at 10:03 and ran to Maverick from the Soak City Parking lot. We waited 1 and 1/2 hours. No fog in the tunnel but it was still a good ride. I like the TV in the WWL building though. It gives you something to do.

After Maverick we went and rode Mean Streak. I didnt want to ride it but my Cousin did so I went with him. We waited about 8 minutes and then we got on the train. I was waiting for pure hardcore pain but to my surprise it didnt hurt at all. We had trims all the way down the hill and there was no airtime at all. So it didnt hurt but it was the most boring ride of the day.

After Mean streak we waited 25 minutes to ride Gemini. This ride sucks! It was slow and it hurt more than I ever remember Mean Streak ever being. Never going on that again.

After that we waited 30 minutes for Magnum. I love this ride. If it wasnt for Maverick it would be #1. Great air time eventhough we got trims.

After Magnum we waited an hour and 15 minutes for TTD. This was my 14th ride ever and I lost intrest. It just didnt excite me as much as it did. It moves down to #4 on my list. Anyways while waiting in line for Dragster my mom blacked out and fainted. I think it was from the heat but maybe not.

After Dragster I went on Power Tower by my self. My favorite flat ride. only waited one launch.

Then I walked over to meet up with My mom my grandma and my cousin by Iron Dragon. My mom was feeling better so we rode the Sky ride back to the front of the park. We rode WT in 10 minutes in the very back. Great ride.

We walked over to see Demon Drop HAD A LINE!! We waited 15 minutes to ride Demon Drop!

Then we waited 1 1/2 hours to ride Raptor. It moved up to #3 in my list. So many Gs on the last helix!

We took the Skyride back to ride Mille. While we were in the air we saw that on the midway the MAverick sign shape was made with flowers.

We waited 1 hour to ride Mille. It moves down to #5 on my list.

We took the train back to Maverick for our final ride of the night. (We left at 8) Another hour in line and we got the very back of the train. Again no fog in the tunnel.

So My Favorites in order:

#1:Maverick #2: Magnum #3: Raptor #4 TTD #5:Mille

Now I have to wait till October to Ride Maverick again. :(

We also were in the park on the 16th. We got there around 12pm.
First ride-magnum. Waited 30 min. What a great ride but it kills your thighs on the bunny hills! Youch!

Gemini next-I always have liked this ride and I didn't think it was rough at all! Maybe the last few bunny hills near the end, but that is about it.

Headed to Maverick. We waited about an hour and 15min. Everytime I ride this ride I love it more! We sat in the front seat which is by far my favorite. I really dont care for the back on the front hill. I mean, how much beating can your thighs take in one day LOL I have to admit, I think this has moved into number 2 instead of TTD.

Then to Millennium. The wait time was 45 min or so. I love this ride! I don't know why anyone would think it is boring! You fly through the whole coaster and the air time is great! Definitely still my #1

Wicked twister x 2. I love sitting near the back and seeing the lake beneath me! So cool and such a different feeling, especially with my arms up!

My mom really wanted to see the Snoopy Ice show so we decided to do that. Of course, my son the hockey player, had to make comments about their skating ability LOL. It was a great show with alot of energy! I actually really enjoyed it! I hadn't seen a show at CP since I was a little kid!

A few flats and some dinner.

We had to do MF and Maverick at least once each in the dark! Maverick is 10x better in the dark! (which says alot because I loe it in the day!) Still no fog in the tunnel... I wish I could have ridden it with that feature just once :(

We decided to stay over night. Booked a room at America's Best Value Inn. Yea, won't be doing that again! We were supposed to have a room with 2 doubles but they only had kings when we got there. Not a huge deal since it was just my mom and my son, but still. Then, our room had the WORST smell ever!!! I already didn't feel good when we got there, but that added to it for sure! The room wasnt dirty, but who knows where the smell was coming from. I actually looked in the closet for a dead body LOL

We knew the weather for the next day was iffy. We got to the park at 930. My son and I headed to maverick for JC and there was still a wait of over an hour so we decided to to MF instead. Wait for MF was about 40 min. I am not sure if I really get the JC thing. It doesn't seem like it really saves you any wait time, just gets you on one extra coaster for the day. Maybe someone could give me some tips!

We headed over to Donut time to grab some breakfast.. yum! buy one get one free minis LOL My son was bugging me to do DD since it might be gone soon. The wait was only 20 min... and then it started raining and went down. Go figure! So instead, we did WT 2x.

My son and I walked over to the beach ot get my mom. Shortly after, the real rain came. Grrr.... We decided to ride space spiral 2x and DT. The wait for DT was 45 min but I didnt really mind since it was raining and we had been there the day before. I hadn't ridden it in 2 years. I have to say, i actually like that ride! I wish they wouldn't have let the effects go, but it is still fun to do all the banks and stuff in the dark.

For the better park of the day, the coasters were down for rain. We headed to the back of the park to see if Mav was running. Nope! MS was though! We got it inline even though the wait was an hour due to only one train running. We waited 50 min and were 2 trains away when they closed due to more rain. So annoying!

We headed into the Palace to see the Adventures of Molly and maverick! It was cute and kept us dry!

Decided to ride the train since it was one of the few rides running and dry. Got up front and decided to go to midway market to eat. MaxAir was running. My son, who refuses to ride it, mentioned going on it since it was the only thing running. By the time we were done eating, it was down too LOL\\

Pretty much the 2nd day was a bust other than WT and DT. Oh well, we had some really good donuts from Donut Time and saw a show!

It does save you time if you're there for the full hour, but you have to be there well before 9am. If you want to do Maverick for Joe Cool, then the best place to park is in the Soak City lot. Be there well before 9, as the line at the resort gate usually gets long from all the resort guests.

I think that you get more out of Joe Cool if you go during the less crowded times (and if you get there before 9 and run to where you want to go right when they let you in). We went at the end of May and I seriously think I could have gotten 5 rides on MF during that hour! That is my goal for our next trip! However, I ran straight to Maverick and waited 40 minutes for Maverick and then ran to MF and it was only a 15 minute wait! So overall I ended up getting 2 great rides in for Joe Cool. Even if you only get one ride, it is still worth it to me. We got in line back at the Magnum entrance at about 8:45am.

I forgot to mention that I got to meet one of you guys in the Maverick line. I asked what his account name was but all I heard was the last part which wwas "00". That doesnt help.
