I just came back from my second trip to Cedar Point. My last trip, in August 2003, was somewhat disappointing because TTD wasn't open. But this time I got my wish. Top Thrill Dragster was AMAZING! Front row is the best! It's my new favorite coaster. I had 4 Freeway passes for it, from a letter, so that was good. I also got to ride a lot of things twice in a row because of Parent Swap (my sister's a hair under 52"). Anyway, I went on TTD again with my dad, and it was awesome, then my mom came on to ride. My dad and sister went to Millennium Force to get a Freeway, for it was around 10:45 am. So we planned to meet them there to get the stamp, after we rode Dragster. Well, we got on, second row, and launched. We approached the crest of the tower, but the train stopped, and before I could scream "A rollbaaaaaaaaack!!!!!" we were plummeting backwards down the tower. It was exhilarating! We took sooo long to roll back to the staging area. An operator came out onto the metal walkway thing, and said it was the slowest roll back he'd ever seen. Then there was an announcement saying that TTD was down, and 2 mechanics appeared on the launch track down at the end by the hyd. building. After about 5 minutes, they were gone, and we moved back, then forward to launch again. We launched with no sound effects and made it over. I happened to glance over at the speed, and it said 121. When we came to a stop onthe brake run, the whole queue was applauding (by this time they had finally started letting people into the queue more often). Well, we went to Park Operations, and got the MF Freeways we had missed for being on Dragster so long.
Today, July 12, we were only there for a few hours. We rode MF for ERT, then got in line again, and it started to rain. It was a wild ride, and they closed it once we exited. So that was my trip to Cedar Point. I hope to return again!
