Jogging while staying on site

Does anyone know how far it is from Hotel Breakers to Sand Castle suites or the camp ground? The sidewalk between the two hotels looks like a great place to go for a run while on vacation. I try to walk/run 3 miles a day.

I thought it would be a good idea to plan my route so I can burn off the calories from the park food I don't plan on missing out on.

According to Google Earth it's about .6 miles from the beginning of the path just outside the Bon-aire section of the Breakers at the boardwalk to the end just before the Lighthouse Point Cabins.

It is an excellent place to jog. Not too crowded.

At Hotel Breakers there is usually a small map with a suggested jogging/walking route available near the park guides and show schedules.

That really is a very nice walkway back there. If you continue past Sandcastle it goes around all the way to Lighthouse point. Doing the whole thing out and back is probably around a mile I'd estimate.

You'll easily get in your three miles walking around the property, no extra jogging required.

Trust me, I plan on hitting all the junk food spots during our trip. I love elephant ears and Pinks hot dogs.

Thanks guys, looks like a great place to run in the a.m. I have really never been down that path before, not even for a walk when we've stayed the Breakers in the past.

Any type of picnic area's along that route for family's to take a break?

Thanks

There is a gazebo near Magnum's turnaround, next to Sandcastle's tennis courts. Not really a picnic area, but it could suffice.
