Joe Cool Club

I dont doubt that resort guests spend a lot on their stay (which that is their choice), but I am sure that if I add up all my spending I do with CP, I would outspend them considerably! It is not how much you contribute to CP, I initially thought that JCC was a "huge bonus" for season pass holders. Like I stated earlier, let JCC in an hour early, and the resort guests can keep their half hour.

Bottom line is you pay 15 dollars. Resort guests pay anywhere from 75 at Breakers Express to most 300 at Hotel breakers a night. Why would they want to let you in earlier if you will be at the park so much with a season pass when people are coming from far away to stay at the hotels. I think it should be the other way around. They will get there money from you even if they don't let you in earlier. Does anyone know when JCC members got in at 9 when did hotel guests get in at?

I think treating your best customers well is good business, even if it doesn't directly affect the bottom line. Who are those "best customers" though? Season passholders? Resort guests? Rich families? Doesn't matter - I don't think that's the point here.

When it comes down to it, it really doesn't take much to get your $15 worth. I think that's a minimal amount, especially when you factor in what you can get, the cost of various items throughout the park, and the cost of the pass itself.

There's obviously a reason they made the changes. It's just like the $3 Pepsi from a couple of years ago. People didn't buy it at $3, so the park took it down to $2.50. If Joe Cool was a horrible deal, no one would take advantage of it and they would no doubt take another look.

Agreed, Walt. I mean... hello! With the opportunity for a ride or two on TTD before the line is 4 hours long is WELL WORTH $15 to me!

And adding the parking pass to my season pass is more than worth it for me. I don't have to take the same car every time...I can even let a friend drive, and still have parking paid for. That certainly adds up over the season.

The resort guests were filling up those rooms long before ERT was started. I have a feeling they would still decide to stay onsite if the practice was abolished tomorrow. I for one would pay more money for Joe Cool if they were excluded.

The $15 is worth it JUST for the portable parking pass to me. Anything else on top of that is a bonus.

For some resort guests the ERT might be the deciding factor between staying at a CP hotel or the Clarion on Rt. 250. As much as Joe Cool members enjoy the ERT, I'm sure the resorts guests enjoy it equally as much.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I have no problem with the resort people sharing the early morning ERT... they pay quite a bit to stay there and we don't pay that much more - not to mention all the other benefits we also get along with the JCC that they don't. Between getting in early, various discounts, & the portable parking pass - it is SO worth it to me, even if the ERT isn't exclusively ours.

One thing that worries me --- what happened to our night ERT?!?!?!? That was an awesome benefit that we only had twice last year (one of which I was able to take advantage of) and this year we have none listed. :(

I really hope that it is still planned... not that the $15 wouldn't still be worth it - but it was a great added benefit!

CAN WE "GET TO THE PO!NT" ALREADY?!?!?!

The ONLY reason why I stay at a CP resort is for the ERT. I always stayed at a cheap Sandusky hotel before I knew about it. I asked if I could just pay 15 bucks for JCC to add to my VF season pass and they said no. If I could do that, I would save money, so I guess that shows that resort guests contribute their fair share. I don't want to get a CP season pass because I cannot always get to CP first thing in the season to activate it, and I want to use it right away at VF.
The only reason for me to get Joe's Cool Club is because I like the transferrable Parking pass. I also like the discounts that you get, but I wish there were more perks. I understand that it is only fifteen dollars and I get well more than my money's worth.

That early admission can get you two rides on millenium force, though I did wait half an hour each. I got there slowly and by the time I got off and got back in line, I was at the same waiting time before the crowd got there. Millenium is really fun in the morning, she hasn't been warmed up yet so it seems to go alot slower and you get to really see the sites.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

Personally, I have saved more money from the JCC discounts each season then the $15 I paid for the membership. This makes it worth it for me. The early entrance is just a perk. And if they had to limit early entrance, I have no problem with CF limiting it from JCC first. The resorts cost a lot of money. I can understand someone being not-so-happy if they paid $400+ for a room on the point and then had to wait in line for an hour just to walk into the park.
I got JCC this year for the first time, mostly to put the parking permit on my pass. As much as I'd like the ERT, my wife has a hard time getting up before about 12 noon when we're on vacation so I think I'd get in a lot of trouble if I left, rode MF and TTD, and then came back to the hotel (we stay at the Best Western on Cleveland Rd, just off Point) to pick her up. Then again, she sleeps like the dead so I might be able to slip back into bed like nothing happened... Hmmmm..... :)

But then again, what do I know?

Hahaha, Shane. :)

I *have* left my husband sleeping in the room to get some early riding in and then gone back to get him. Of course, this was before morning ERT and Joe Cool was available.
