Joe Cool

I am a bigger guest at 6-3 280 and a season pass holder. I have Joe Cool too and not that there is the new seat belt rule on MF and TTD is suppost to have one i can't ride any rides during Joe Cool time. I was woundering A) is there anyother bigger guests on the site? and B) do you think that with the new rules the park should open another coaster during the Joe Cool time for the bigger guest? i was thinking Magnum or Raptor should open for Joe Cool. well write me back and let me know what your thoughts are.

I really don't think Cedar Point takes that into consideration. I can't imagine them opening Magnum or Raptor earlier and say, "All you overweight people that can't ride Millennium Force can ride this instead."

They would just be publically announcing the situation, which they've been pretty good about not advertising it too much (even though it's being publically announced through many other sources).

I see what your saying there but now there are in a bit of a mess not a big one by far for them but i really feel as if i have been miss lead and ripped off by the park in the purches of the Joe Cool membership.

I only get joe cool for the discounts. The food discounts throughout the year equal way more then the $15 I paid for Joe Cool. Also, I think the new restrictions only apply to MF and not TTD. In any case, how do you feel mislead?

The early entrance for Joe Cool isn't really that exclusive. During the Memorial Day weekend, they were letting everyone in by 9:00. I still think the best thing about Joe Cool is the parking pass feature.

Joe Cool Parking Pass feature? The big "P" that the put on your pass? I wouldn't call that a feature.

Memorial weekend they were not letting the general public in at 9. Only JCC and resort guests. everyone else had to wait at the blue gate.

if they opened another ride it would be like them saying ok fat people here we gave you another ride what more do you want and they can't do that because it will tick off more people than the MF seat belt policy did.

ITA with you, coolfun5688. But the really sad thing is they turn away people who aren't even fat. Too bad one *&()$^ employee didn't do their job and check the restraints properly. I have a feeling that Intamin will realize this and get things back to normal.....hopefully!!!!!

Yeah, I can see it now......a big sign that says

"FAT PEOPLE TO THE IMMEDIATE LEFT FOR THE RAPTOR, EVERYONE ELSE: GO RIDE WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT"

Don't get me wrong I really feel for the people that could ride MF for the 4 years, but now they can't because of one mistake. I sure hope that employee was terminated! They were letting everyone in at the Magnum gate. By putting that "P" on the pass allows a person to use it no matter what vehicle they are in, definitely a "feature" to me.

Well I only use the same vehicle every time that I go, but if you don't I could see that as a plus. Sorry.

99.9% of people who use the Maggie enterance are resort guests. Most people I think don't realize how to "Cheat the System". Especially infrequent visitors. I am going to use that enterance next time to observe. If I witness this I will make a big stink at park op!

Why? its an advantage for the people that know the secrets. The GP doesn't know so they don't get in early, but most enthusiasts do know so they have an advantage. I'm guessing they don't always let everyone in, it just happened to be the people that were working that gate at that time.

If you get in early don't complain about it, enjoy it.

And Park Ops will listen to you, and laugh when you walk away. So an extra hundred people get into the park "early." So what?

Scott, you do need Joe Cool to get the parking pass on your card. Otherwise you get a window sticker that only works on one car.

you don't need joe cool to get the P on your season pass. They give you the option.

They may give you the option, but if you ask for it on your pass and you do not already have Joe Cool, they will charge you $15 extra. I had a parking pass added after I already bought my pass and they were going to charge me the extra money until they saw that I already ahd Joe Cool.

What Joe Cool Club members can do is choose to have the Parking Pass put directly on their photo ID instead of receiving a sticker for their car when they purchase a Parking Pass. That way, the Joe Cool Club member can take their Parking Pass with them in any non-commercial vehicle they're driving or riding in. It's the ultimate in Parking Pass flexibility!

I am a JCC member, so I wouldn't complain that I got in early. I did say that most people don't know the cheats, but I don't think that it would be fair to those who didn't actually pay to have that added benifit. The early enterance is the only reason why we purchased JC...... for me, my husband, and my 9 year old daughter. I don't spend my money on the games, and I rarely shop there for the extra 10% at the select stores.
