Jobs available at Point? 2015 Summer season!

This should help some people who are interested in working at Cedar Point next year and would like to know some job descriptions. Write down your job and what you had to do.

Host/Hostess at TGI Friday's on the Beach. Part of Resorts (was in Hotel Breakers)

A host/hostess must have good communication skills with waiters and waitress. Must seat people in correct sections, be able to handle stressful situations (ex. a group 14 wants to be seated in rush hour all together), pick up menus and clean bathrooms (both genders).

Commas are your friends. Don't be afraid of them.

I honestly thought I had enough commas, but i never said that grammar is my best friend. I will like to bring this conversation back to the original statement. Please and thank you.

Here's what I posted as my job description for resume/linkedin/etc..

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various multi million dollar amusement rides located inside the park. Watching the ride or activity, operating any necessary controls. Cleaning the rides and all associated areas daily

Assisted guests, communicating safety instructions, answering any questions, and any help required as they exit and enter the ride. Occasionally assisted guests off the ride using stairs and/or ladders during ride shutdown & evacuations.

Served as the person in charge at the work location many times during employment. As the designated person in charge I was also tasked with accomplishing position rotations, training transferring or new employees, organized the daily schedule, and provided oversight for all daily operations at the location

I was a park sweep! We are the employees responsible for the cleanliness of the park i.e sweeping up trash, spills (throw up/icecream), enforcing no smoking except for the designated areas, and mainly answering any and all guest questions which could be where is the gluten free food to what's the biggest ride in the park(I've been asked both) sometimes these questions can et annoying but you have to remember the guests aren't at the park everyday like employees are. We also do morning projects like de-cobwebing the black fences, cleaning the pond by Pet Farm, deck scrubbing the midways (scrubbing the bird poop), wiping down tables, benches and trash cans too. Everyday is something new be it the guests or what the day brings for you to clean! I truly think it's one of the best jobs because you get to be out in the park with guests and it's always an adventure no matter where you work at CP!
