I was just wondering how the job tree works like how do you get to be TL or ATL and what do those positions do and how you get a job. At CP

You get hired by filling out an application...like any other job. You can do that at jobs.cedarpoint.com
After that, you can go to an interview session in Sandusky or wait for a phone interview with a manager.
TLs and ATLs are almost always people who have some experience at the park. Each ride has its own TL and ATL (Team leader and asst. team leader). They are the ones who make the schedules and are the ones responsible for the daily operation of the ride they are in charge of...including all of the red tags that work on that ride.

no - you can get contracted to a big ride for your first season easily. As long as you are performing up to the ride's standards you will stay on it (and you gots to stay out of trouble as well!).
The big rides, in my opinion, are the most fun to work, because they have the most people and the biggest crews.
yeah....its pretty sweet...good luck!

Yeah so that whole big rides having the biggest crew thing is not at all true... Power Tower, Camp Snoopy and Kiddy Kingdom are three of the largest crews in the park... And the train has the highest numbers in the park annually... (on average)
There is more to cedar point than the big rides.... some people just prefer the bigger ones,... and that is totally okay. But some of the smallest rides can be fastest pace. You just have to find your own individual comfort level.
Best of luck to all of you!

Yeah...actually, in general, bigger rides have smaller crews(not just at CP, every park). Each ride(or ride grouping) needs a certain number of employees to operate, it's all relative.
Coaster Count: 147
When you apply, you aren't given a chance to specify which type of job placement you wish to receive, right?

to a certain extent... you can specify which department you want, as in Rides, foods, merchandise, that sort of thing. But as for individual ride- you can talk to the manager that hires you when they call. Even then nothing is guaranteed and they will put you where they think you will be better suited. *** Edited 1/26/2007 5:40:53 AM UTC by Erroll***
