Ok so last year I worked as a housekeeper then housekeeping supervisor, now I want to apply for a different positions I hated not being in the park or around ppl lol so I'll list the positions that interest me & can you tell me things about it & if its complicated getting hired for that.
Midway cart sales host
(Is that the little food wagons or what is it?)
Arcade/games host
(How is it as far as getting hired for that?)
Employee housing supervisor
Admissions/tolls
(I'm leaning towards this is it complicated getting hired doing this?)
Recreation center attendant
(Is this for working in the Employee rec, if so I know that many ppl isn't needed so is that complicated getting into)
Ride host
(As well as admissions I'm leaning towards this, is it complicated getting hired or interview process)
Please let me know everything! I'm looking for a lot of hours btw thanks in advance :-)
I don't have any experience with any other departments besides for Rides. As far as that goes, I really didn't have too difficult of a time getting hired into ride operations, just a pretty basic interview, and then they'll ask you if you're afraid of heights, prefer to work with kids or adults, and if you prefer to work in a fast paced, or slower paced environment. It's super fun, and you get a lot of hours.
From what I've heard, when you switch departments, your manager from your previous department has to agree to let you go to the new department. I'm not exactly sure how that works though.
2010: Millennium Force & Mantis
2011: Raptor
2012: Raptor, Sky Ride and Wicked Twister
2013: Co-Team Leader of Sky Ride
2014: Supervisor of Slingshot/Skyscraper
They are usually begging people to work midway carts and tolls. This is because for the vast majority, the jobs suck. Admissions might be a good fit though. Resort gate is always fun.

Most positions in the park do provide a decent amount of hours. If I were you, I would make sure you run it by your previous manager first, considering they will be the first one to view your application regardless of what you applied for. They'll also have to release and then recommend you to a different department.
When I switched from sweeps to merchandise, it wasn't a problem at all. When I applied, it asked if I wanted to be considered for the dept I worked in the previous season, and I put no, and asked to be placed in merchandise. Shortly after that, I got a call from one of the merch managers, and interviewed, and was hired that day.
