Jhonny Rockets

I'm not sure how it works this year, but in past years, you were allowed to exit CP property with your vehicle once and return with no penalty. If you leave a 2nd time and return, you must pay the parking fee again.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

But Fridays and Famous Daves are within walking distance to the Marina or Resort gate. So, you wouldn't get in your car and drive off the Point.

If you wanted to though, you're allowed to leave and come back if you can show you paid already.

Famous Daves and Fridays are both within walking distance. Your car will not have to leave it's parking spot. And yes, you can leave once and re-enter with no penalty if you wanted to drive somewhere else, but it doesn't matter for Famous Daves and Fridays.

Famous Dave's is just right outside the Marina gate and TGIF is in Hotel Breakers, so you don't even have to go to your car to get to either place.

As for what others are saying about Johnny Rockets...I've never had anything from the CP location, but I've been to the Circle Center Mall location in Indy a few times as well as a trip to the one in Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, and both of those places had comparable service and food. Both categories were right up with similar places that I have been. Maybe I'm not as picky as some when it comes to cheese fries, burgers, and root beer floats, but I thought it was well worth my money.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

How about you come to the coffee shop?

seriously Ill stick with los gatos cafe...

Famous Daves for all your chicken needs.

The midway market does it for me.

I also like to eat at famous daves as well.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I agree, Famous Daves is better, but Johnny Rockets ain't bad if you are close and hungry!

I've only been to JR twice and I wasnt too disappointed. I ordered the tuna sandwich one time and it was a bit spicy for me.....but that was the only bad experience. I do however enjoy their onion rings and malts.

I have to agree with Jeff that Fridays and Famous Dave's are your best bet. I also like the Game Day Grille. There, there's my top three for eating at the point.

Game Day Grille is second only to Famous Dave's for me. The potato skins there are great, as are the wings. There's nothing better than watching an OSU football game with some wings and potato skins and out-yelling the other college fans in there.

I'd take Game Day Grille over Johnny Rockets any time. I also think Macaroni's is underrated and worth a visit.

So if I wanted to drive to Famous Dave's from my parking space inside CP, how would I get there?

Jhonny Rockets? Is that Jhonny Peralta's copycat restaurant?

Well, you would drive down Perimeter Road and turn into the Marina Parking lot across from Blue Streak. I know they'll let you park there for Bay Harbor, but I'm not specifically sure about Famous Daves. It'll be to your right as you enter the Marina Lot after passing the guard house there.

Otherwise, you can simply use the Marina Entrance out of the park (if you're in the park) and follow the path straight across Perimeter Road; You can't miss it. If they won't let you park in the Marina Lot, and you're not in the park, park in the Main Lot, and use the short sidewalk/access path that runs along Blue Streak and Perimeter Road until you get to the Marina Entrance, and follow the same path mentioned above to Famous Daves.

I liked the menu at Game Day Grille better back when it was still the Silver Dollar.

Johnny Rockets is fairly good food. I highly recommend the apple pie with cheddar cheese (strange combination in theory, but amazing in practice). I will admit the service can be s l o w, especially when you're sitting there staring out at Raptor running, wanting to run over and get on.

I very seldom go outside the park to eat. Because they're outside the park, those places seem psychologically farther away to me.

Cedar Point could really use some sort of sit down restaurant on or near the Dragster midway. From Coasters all the way back to the far back, the only place to get real 'meal' food is that little hamburger place over by Camp Snoopy, which I only eat at in last desperation.
