The VIP tour man, MoMoney, or whatever, could have a point. I'm sure a quick letter about what a rip off it was to have Dragster down for so long during the $400 VIP tour would probably get them 10% off another VIP tour.
Or, CP would say something like:
Please keep in mind that all rides are subject to intermittent down time due to weather conditions or maintenance.

intermittent = not continuous. If anything referencing that line would help his argument.
Thats why they have other rides. :)
They can't be repairing every ride at the same time!
I think they owe us an explanation and a little fun.
That day, it was more intermittently open than down. I was there, it was rediculous. I don't know, MoMoney should write the letter if he thinks it was a rip off. I think they may very well agree and offer him a discount off another VIP tour.
He certainly could. And that would totally be the Ammurikan way!
I mean, he got precisely what he paid for, and precisely what is advertised on CP's site. That is, FOL access to all the rides, with the constant, plainly-communicated caveat that some rides may not be open.
Only in America would people cheer someone on for complaining about getting exactly what they signed up for. Hell, might as well start a class action suit while we're at it!

I'm not saying he should get his money refunded or anything, DJ. I'm just saying the only reason I would think anyone would do VIP is for front of the line access. When Dragster is down 80% of the day, that's crossing over the acceptable intermittent line, IMO.
I said, maybe a 10% discount. CP would make him happy, still make money off of him again, and maybe get him and his money gushing family to come back and pay full price for the VIP tour every year. That helps them, that helps all of us.
^ Hey, I agree man. Without law suits, health care would cost 75% less.
If they gave him a full refund or something I would be pissed, but, 10% off another huge ticket item, meh, I can live with that. Keep blowing that dough so I can get my 500 ft ;)
That health care "statistic" is actually completely wrong, just so you know. Most studies have shown that frivolous health care lawsuits account for single digit percentages of losses, if that much.
