Is this weekend really the most crowded weekend?

I read that this weekend is the most crowded, any truth to this?

Given the superb weather forecast for this coming weekend, it's very, very likely that the park will be absolutely mobbed on Saturday especially. If years past are any indication, yeah, this may end up being the most crowded weekend of the season.

Columbus Day Weekend is always a madhouse it seems for at least the past 7 or 8 seasons. I wouldn't go this weekend.

The long weekend coupled with the fact that the past two weekends were not very good weatherwise makes me think this will be the perfect storm for crowds.

Good luck BooBuzzers!

Dick Kinzel said in an interview that Columbus Day weekend is the park's biggest attendance weekend.

I still remember about 5 years ago...

Every coaster's queue was near capacity. Including Iron Dragon, Mean Streak, Corkscrew, etc.

I only go on days like this to take pictures and people watch. You won't get much riding done.

Last year we we're swamped! Unless you want to brave the lines to enjoy the weather, I'd plan on coming another, less busy, weekend. We're supposed to hit attendance highs for the season again this weekend.

If ever I were to put money down on seeing 60,000 people at a Sandusky, Ohio amusement park, this Saturday would be the day.

And BooBuzz is this weekend. :( Last year it was on a Friday and I was still surprised how many people were there. It has pretty much become the norm that if you go in October, it will be packed.

Yep. We were there for that crazy Saturday. I've never seen so many people in the park and it was a great people watching day and thats about it. All the lots were full, cars were parked out on the Causeway and I think Mean Streak was over a 2.5 hour wait.

Yes - it will be packed. I strongly recommend everyone stay away this weekend (and that recommendation has nothing to do with the fact that I'll be there Friday and Saturday :) )

I remember that weekend quite well, and I would say the queue's were at capacity or over for all the rides. That was the last weekend I had ever seen MS queue full.

What are the Sunday crowds like vs. Saturday? I'm going with my girlfriend and another couple that day; it's the only date that worked for all of us.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Sundays are great...except for Columbus Day Sunday (the 16th).

The answer to this post is Yes.

Avoid Saturday like you avoid crab people.

Although we Screamsters love the larger crowds so you should all come!

Crap a paradox!

My bad. :)

Yes, it is this weekend, and yes, this Sunday will be like a Saturday. I personally would avoid it, but if you are going, just expect very high crowds. I would also expect attendance records to be broken on both Saturday and Sunday.

To add more gas to the fire, the Cleveland Browns have a bye this week and the Detroit Lions don't play until Monday night. :)

I hope Friday during HALLOWEEKENDS will be a Good day. I say that all the time on Fridays. High School Football Games, and big Partys with many families, and so on. That is the best day for me.
