Is this a bad idea????

I was told today by an anonymous person that if Im a "non-partying Christian"...its probable that im gonna hate workin at CP...which kinda disheartens me....Im not like a right wing conservative who condemns at all. If people want to party and drink...go ahead...i just choose not to do it...but I will still go to parties and the bars...just not drink...any thoughts?

Well, CoastFreak, don't let those people intimidate you. I'm not a drinker, or much of a "partier". I had a blast lasrt summer. There is so much to do as an employee and so many people of all different personalities, you will meet a lot of people who don't drink or party. I went to one party last summer.

So don't worry, with all the people to meet, and everything available for yout to do, you will in no doubt have a great and fun summer. Give me an AIM if you want: flisk2000

Don't worry about it. There are all kinds of groups of people there. You'll find someone you can have a good summer with.

You can even attend church on Sunday's with Cedar Fair CEO Dick Kinzel if you don't have to work and just happen to goto the Conference Center.. hehehe

We had a morman girl on our crew. She didn't drink or anything, but she did hang out, go to the crew parties, the bar, those kind of things.

Despite what may be posted...not all the people who work at CP are alcoholics. It's all about having fun, drunk, sober, it really doesn't matter. As long as your comfortable.

I have to try not to party too much or I go slightly insane..... I bet I'll end up sitting with you laughing at the drunks and chilling out quite a few nights!

Coastfreak, you can have as much fun as you want to have this summer, and that fun does not have to include drinking. There are so many other things to do, going to the beach, library, or mall, plus there are a lot of neat places to visit in Sandusky. It makes me feel bad sometimes to hear people talking about how 'stupid' of a town Sandusky is, but really if you look around you'll find there is so much to do. Don't let anybody scare you off from coming, I can promise you will have the most amazing summer of your life! The clubs are still fun to hang out in, and some of the best times are spent just hanging out in your or your friend's apartments/dorms. So the one thing I would certainly not worry about is not having a good time!!

Yeah, Silent Rob, that was my favorite activity on nights off (I worked 3rd shift last summer, UGH!) I would sit around and enjoy all the sights I saw as people came back from louies. It kind of reminded me of evenings at Put-In-Bay....

Not to mention Amanda.. that you have Toledo an hour west.. Cleveland about an hour east.. There is ALWAYS something going on during summer in either of those places on your days off..

And of course.. Put-In-Bay over in Port Clinton.. Tons of stuff to do..

I don't drink and I rarely party (even when I do I don't drink)and I have had the two (soon to be three) of the best summers of my life.In my opinion the only bad idea would be NOT to come work at Cedar Point.

Wasn't there a morman on the screw crew also? or is she that one. She was pretty shady from what I hear....
