When I worked at Cedar Point I usually Hated this time of the year because we were all going home. I was wondering if any Employees are getting the sadness in them now as the Full Time Summer Season will be ending. Just some Thoughts. Thanks and Good Luck to you all.
P.S. Iam taking my summer crew to Cedar Point on August 18th We will have Yellow StarLyte Shirts on well at least 5 minutes(to get our picture). See you there.
RIP MR.SCOTT The ONLY MAYOR OF LIGHTHOUSE
I had to leave last Monday because of school starting, and yes, the depression really got to me. However, there are some people who envied me for leaving so early, and I would have easily switched with them if I could have.
I just can't wait until next May!

I had been looking forward to today, my last day, for many many weeks now. However, now that it has come and gone, I am kind of sad. My eyes actually welled up a bit as I was leaving. Sure, sometimes the rude guests and long hours get annoying, but it is a great summer job...hopefully I'll see you back here next year Josh, and who knows, maybe I'll even be your TL :)

Just kidding, you never know. ;)

Yeah no guff when I worked there this time of year was pretty depressing for me because it meant that the end of the season and a lot of the fun was near. I remember how much I loved working Halloweekends I never wanted them to end. Now that I have moved on things don't seem as bad as they did back then of course I will be visiting this year although back then it was sad.
The two years I worked in rides, I did school and work. My first season was very hard because I worked every weekend in Ohio while going to school full time during the week in Michigan. But even with all the driving I was sad when it was over. But on the other hand, I was fully ready to concentrate soley on school and my grades were all the better for it. Then by the time school was out I was ready to go back to work. But the time in between seemed to crawl.
This was always a happy time and a sad time for me. The last weeks before labor day are the toughest of the season. Longer hours, shorter staffs, people get moved around and people leaving. I was always so excited to get to bonus weekends and for the season to be over and the detemination to never return again. But the season does end and all you do is miss the place and realize you like working there after all.
