Is Soak City worth it?

I will be visiting CP on June 9th and 10th. Weare staying at the Breakers, and getting a package that includesStarlight tickets, CP General Admission tickets, andBuy-One-Get-One-Free coupons for Soak City.

We plan on using the Starlight tickets on the 9th, and GA tickets on the 10th.

I've researched Soak City a bit, but can't find any detailedreviews of it. I see that it hasn't been updated since 2004, though. Myquestion is, considering we have the coupons to use, is Soak City worthtaking the time to visit during our trip?

Jacob, my friend that we are taking with us, likes good waterparks, as do I, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to do aboutSoak City... I mainly want to make sure that we have time to doeverything we want at Cedar Point during our stay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I enjoy Soak City, but it depends on if you want to waste the time and money on the waterpark or not. If you'd rather spend your time at the amusement park, then I'd just suggest skipping it.

It depends on what the weather is like as well! You just might want to stick with Cedar Point rather than planning a day at Soak City when it could be somewhat cold and cloudy.

I heard some good reviews on the rivers! I have never been but may try it out this season with my platinum pass.

If you're looking for a really good waterpark, Soak City isn't it. But it's nice on the hot summer days when there are big crowds in the amusement park. Even just to go in the wave pool or ride Renegade River is very refreshing.

If you want to have time to do everything at CP you might not want to waste your money on Soak City. Once you start riding the rides you will realize that you want to ride some of them again and probably won't want to go to soak city.

With a Platinum Pass, I find Soak City a great 3-4 hour break from the rest of the day. I spend most of that time on the Renegade River.

Platinum Pass, yes.

Stand-alone ticket purchase, no

Its an average water park. Really nothing to brag about, if you enjoy water parks then this is everything you are looking for. But if you have a decent water park locally, this will most likely be about the same quality. I find it hard to justify the admission + locker rental (its almost impossible to not rent one)

I always avoid the locker purchase by going in, immediately getting my hand stamped and going back to the car to drop my stuff off, assuming I even brought any stuff to begin with, then going back in with the stamp. I've never had a problem leaving a towel and some flip flops on a chair. There's really nothing else you need immediate access to at a water park.

My problem is that my key is one of those stupid "european style" keys that have my auto unlocks attached to the key, there is no way that thing can get wet so I have to put it somewhere.

Hmm, I guess that would be a problem. I've left my keys hidden in the car before and just left one of the back doors unlocked (you couldn't see if the locks were up or down on my old car) but that's certainly not the most secure thing in the world...
