I worked for CP in 2003 on TTD. While working I became ill due to complications from surgery I had to have a years prior. I flew home to see my surgen and was hospitalized for several weeks. Just thinking I was going to a doctors apointment I did not process out. I did call and expain and was told to send my stuff back. I got my full paycheck and a get well card. This year I am still working on my MBA and thought it would be fun to come back this summer. I have been working at a high volume sprots grille for the past few years and would like to serve at TGI Fridays. When I went to apply it told be that I was not allowed based on my past employment with CP. I have called and they have to pull my file out of storage. Any suggestions ???

Pray alot and actually talk to person. Email, Voice Mail & snail mail are too impersonal for your situation, IMO. Keep calling them until you get to talk to a real person, live time.

When I worked in the Foods Office a few years ago, I was told that no-rehires are only effective for one season. So you should be able to reapply. Try putting your social security number in to the JobNet site. It should accept it.
i did it and at 1st my social security number went through and then all of a sudden it said due to previous employemt history you are no eligible for re-hire at this time. so i sent an email to my former department and they said i had to write a letter to them explaining to them what happened and i did but i still haven't got a response back yet. and i'm getting mad

This is a really busy time for hiring managers. Not only do they have to read through thousands of applications, they have to interview everyone by phone or in person. Plus they have to get other things ready for the season as well.
it all depends on why you are a no re-hire, if it was just do to points you could be able to come back by writing a letter to the manager.....but if you were a no re-hire due to say drug testing(either taking and failing or resigning) then you would not be eligible to come back for any reason.

i was labeled a no re-hire because i had to leave cedar point because my fiance got sick and i had planned on retuning but she died so i didn't go back. but i hope i do get to go back this year.

She died? That would be an unusual thing to happen for an employee of Cedar Point, unless you are a suit.
I certainly would hope that you would be considered for rehire.

Call or email your manager. I PM'd you the name and email address of the current games manager. He should be able to help you if you explain the situation. *** Edited 2/18/2006 7:41:06 AM UTC by RidePhoto101***

I really hope you used correct punctuation/capitalization in your letter.
Sorry to hear about your fiance. I can't believe that with the situation explained that you wouldn't be hired back. That's a pretty extreme case. Its not like you left one weekend and just never said anything. Good luck.
Goodbye MrScott

well i finally got an email back and they still won't let me back which is odd but i'm ok with it.

well i had a heart attack the day before i was supposed to start last year and i havent been hired yet.
not showing up does not make you a no-rehire but some departments will not hire you due to not having shown up--not wanting to take the chance on you again and have the same thing happen...have you tried getting a hold of your department?
