I remember a while back about Mr. Kinzel was staying because of the whole Paramount deal and trying to get everything in order. I don't remember anything being official, but is he or is he not leaving in 2007.
I hope not.

I think I've heard more saying he wasn't than he was, although I don't think there was ever anything official.

He's staying until he sees Dragster get that 1,000,000 rides....seeing that she was SOO close to doing it this year (they had all kinds of media preparations ready for the millionth ride!!)
;)

I think he should let go, personally. He has been the driving force in growing the company, but I think it's time for Jack Falfas to have a go. Jack's experience is a little more "worldly" and I think he's better qualified to bring things to the next level.
And maybe we'll get our night spot. :)

I tend to agree with Jeff on this.
There is also this angle: If someone really enjoys their job, it's not really a "job" to that person, and they may not be ready to retire. I tend to think this of Kinzel.

I'm really hoping for Gary Story or Kieran Burke to take over for Kinzel, I think they can really take things on the next level.

So long as it's not a chain, that would really get halltd worked up. ;)
Well in that case, make it a Dave & Busters.

Game Works would be better.. ;)

I guess that depends on the location. The GW in Auburn Hills (Great Lakes Crossing) is miniscule and boring compared to the D&B's in Utica.

Dave & Busters is FAR superior to Planet Hollywood. The food at Planet Hollywood is vomit-inducing.
I still remember when I was at the D&B in Atlanta way back in 1992. If I remember correctly, that was their first location outside of Texas. They were in the infancies of becoming a chain. But, they have a higher standard which I think would make them fit in nicely at CP. I bet they would want to be on the mainland though and not on the peninsula.
Then again, they might not be the best choice since they have an age-restriction (unless they dropped that rule).
We have a Dave and Busters here in Westlake. It's okay, I guess... But I suppose one loses interest in it when it's so close.

I agree with Jeff on a need for a night spot. Whatever happened to the rumored "Downtown Cedar Point Project?" Or was that just a bunch of fluff a couple of years ago?
I don't think it's been completely forgotten. During an in-park survey in 2005 I was asked whether I'd be interested in a "boardwalk style area feature shops and restaurants."
