I'm with Gomez. If it's open, I won't leave the park without at least one ride on TTD.
If you're going to be at the park when it opens, I'd suggest getting in the line right away.
Which weekend are you planning to be there? I'll be there this Saturday, and most likely the following weekend as well.
Anyway, enjoy your trip!

That's true. Front is unbelievable for first timers. But beware, bugs! :)
Yeah, last time I was there, i got front seat on MF and we were getting pelted with bugs. My brother and I had to put our hands in front our mouths so bugs didn't fly into them.
I'm only at the park 1-4 times a season, yet each time I go, I'm less willing to wait in long lines. There is simply too much else to see and do at the park, and its a real shame that people would wait more than 90 minutes for any ride there, especially one that lasts a mere 17 seconds.

That's the exact feeling I have. It's also probably because I'm not very patient.
In regards to wait for the front or not issue. I would definitelty reccommend waiting for the front. I rode the front my first two times then rode the back and was very disappointed. In my opinion I don't think the ride is much of a ride unless in the front. Then again, I haven't rode the back in a while.
Praying for a rollback...

How? Because you have been there and done that.
What about the people who have one day at the park and have to wait. Or how about a first timer who does not know that MF is not worth even an hour wait.
First time I rode TTD it was the most amazing 17 seconds of my life. Sure I waited 2 hours but it was far from a "Shame".

101 on Magnum and counting...
Yeah, I'm referring to the regulars who have been there several times, and will continue to wait upwards of 90 minutes for a ride they've been on countless times. Its understandable that one would wait longer if they've yet to ride it, as I have waited almost 2 hours recently to get a first timer his inaugural ride on MF.

Dragster has seen more of me this season due to MF's downtime. I'm heading down Monday or Tuesday and it looks like MF will still be down there so I ride Dragster instead. This will be 2/3 of my trips thusfar without Milly. :(
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I rode it for my first time last Summer and I waited about an hour and 45 minutes. It was a long, boring wait...but it was definately worth it!
Just wait in the line. If it exceeds 2 hours...maybe pass and wait for a different time, but definately ride it before you leave!

Top Thrill Dragster IS worth a couple hour wait...if it's your first ride.
I've ridden more than a dozen times now and refuse to wait more than 15-30 minutes anymore. There is just so much else to do at CP than wait in line.

I completely understand the line thing but where ever you go at Cedar Point, there will be a line.....and that's all I have to say about that.

I disagree, TTD 120mph.
I have had walk ons on all the major rides, including Top Thrill Dragster, MF, WT, etc. You just have to go at the right time of year :)

CP4eva'04,
You are correct. I choose to go in May and September because I can. Not all of us can do that. BTW, I've been know to haunt the place in October, too. ;)
MrScott
PS: There are days in May and September where EVERYTHING is a walk on. The slowest weekend that I have found is the weekend after Labor Day weekend.
(Now I have said that, I'm sorry. It all was a lie. As it may get busier during the times I visit!)

That also is a pretty day, Jugga. But waiting til the kiddies are back in school and Halloweekends has not begun is even better. On Sundays during that time of year, you OWN the park! I still remember walking the Frontier Tail when it was vacant.
I got 5 MF rides before 11 am on that day. :)

Yeah yeah, timing is everything. When I went on May 11th, everything was a walk-on. Sadly Dragster was down due to high winds.:(
Though I did get on Milly about 20 times!:)
P.S.-In my post I meant to put in "where ever you go at Cedar Point at this time in the season, there will be a line". :P
