Okay, so I'm new this year. Krista's my name. And I'm trying to talk to at least a couple people before entering upon this experience. I'm going to be life guarding in soak city. I'm processing in June 14, but that is besides the point.
I was just wondering about your own personal experience working at Cedar Point.
Also, do most of the people in the housing areas know each other? Or are most people strangers? Clearly you don't know everyone, but I'm just worried I'm going to be out of the loop by the time I move in.
Hey Krista! I got your message on yahoo, and replied. If you have msn messenger or something we can chat.

Haha, Hi! I just replied before I read this. For sure! Uhhhm. We're kind of playing reply tag right now so I'll just wait for your e-mail and send you my messenger info:)
Cedar Point is a lot of fun! I went to Cedar Point with one other friend last year. Im in rides and she was a waitress. We barley saw each other. I made a LOT of friends. I now have friends all over the world. I talked 4 more of my friends to come this year.
I have a friend working her first year as a life guard in soak city.

I personally don't know anyone, but after going through sites like these and talking to people over facebook you can get to know people pretty well. I've found that seems to be the best way to meet people before you go, I'm already getting to know my room mates! Just talk to people, that seems like the best course of action to meet people.
Good luck Krista!

Yeah, that's what I'm going to try and do. I just found out a girl from one of my classes got a job too, but I hardly talk to her. Still better than no one though.
Thankyou!

Yes, working at CP is well worth it! This is my 6th season with CP. I started out as a sweep, and went to merchandise, where I am currently. I've had friends in other departments, such as admissions, rides, and foods. I know people at Hotel Breakers as well. Your first year will be fun and exciting, with a lot to learn. I never lived on point, so I don't know about the housing. I do know people who've said it's pretty nice, so you shouldn't have any problem. Welcome to the best park on Earth!

While not for everyone, a work experience at Cedar Point is sure to be one you will never forget. It is by no means the ideal job, but the chance to work on the peninsula at least once should not be passed up, in my opinion.
You'll make friends, and quite quickly. Meeting people beforehand is a great idea; Pointbuzz really is an excellent resource to help you.
