Is it possible the top hat will be inverted?

I'm with you, Big D. I have been thinking about this for a while and it STILL seems like there just has to be more to this coaster. There is simply too many odd shaped and sized pieces left to go onto this monster. Since I am more of a word person, here is my current narrative of the course that "dragster" will take. For the sake of establishing some orientation, I am using compass directions and I am assuming that the initial launch direction is North:

1. Heading up the right side of the tower, the train will roll 90 deg to the right and then yaw forward, coming to the crest of the tophat and facing West.

2. This is where it gets fuzzy but I think that the train now comes OFF the tower into a dive toward the W or SW and into at least an overbanked turn (on Mille Island?, Directly over the Lagoon?, I don't really know). There may be other elements as well.

3. Heading roughly East, the train comes back toward the tower, crests a final hill (at about 250 feet) and then dives sharply while rolling to the right so that it picks up the straight track that goes South near ID.

4. A final overbanked u-turn (like MF) and the train is heading North again, coming into the station.

Now, that sounds like a fun ride!! It's that weirdly angled support on the lagoon side of the tower that has led me to the above ideas. And again, I agree with Big D that you can't simply have twistage that is so very close to the tower.

IT WONT BE INVERTED.

Its probably for the left side twist.

how can u be so dang sure that piece isn't gonna be for another element and so **** bent on what u call an uninverted tophat.

Long time lurker...but had to post because of Coaster Bob's possible course description for "dragster". First of all, I'm pretty convinced this will be L:TH:TW:B, but Coaster Bob makes some sense in his description. I have been thinking about it for a long time as well and his layout seems to be the only credible arguement against L:TH:TW:B. Once the track on the lagoon side of the tower extends beyond the weirdly angled support, I think we'll finally know what this thing will actually do. I'll ride it and love it either way, but here's hoping for Coaster Bob's depiction.
Thanks, DPH.
hey i have a point(no pun itended)---that support on the side is obviously for something special, which explains why they dont go higher with track, and although the weather here latley has been windy, couldnt they still but up big supports? and another thing is they could put a downwards loop( dont ask--its just an idea of a loop going straight downwards) an keep it a secret until the very end...

Is there a picture of this "weirdly angled support"?

OO you guys are talking about the one's on the tower. I thought you ment one of the gray supports was angled.
Downwards loop? I think not, the Gs would be too intense at that speed. All that blood rushing to your head, ouch!

The Fast and the Fearless

anything is possible but not likely.
It possible that like someone said somewhere that this is all a cover up. They tore down what was there after the park closed sunday night and have been feeding the web cam computer genreated images. So we won't see the real coaster there building.

POSSIBLE BUT NOT LIKELY

if you look at this picture...

http://www.virtualmidway.com/popup/mysterypopup6001.asp?image=attraction404.jpg&title=Mystery%20Attraction

you will notice that the support will attach on the inside of the curve, thus making it non-inverted.

I'm all but completely certain that this is the top of the tophat.
