Yes, anything is posible but at one point the cost of moving the ride is more than the cost of bulding the ride from scratch. For Example it was cheaper to build Twister than to move Mister Twister from Denver.

Wasn't getting mad but trying to avoid the famous "I wonder if they are going to move Magnum near Disaster Transport and put in a B&M Floorless and then a CCI woodie, and then a Thrust Air 2000"....really, it gets old after a while.
I'm trying to think of what the largest transported steel coaster was. Undoubtedly one of SF's coasters.
If they were to move Magnum, they would probably take it apart, refurbish some thing, replace the turnaround track so it is constant, and then put it back together.
Again I said "If they were to"

Why not(to original question)? Drachen Fire could be removed and it's pretty big (150-170ft). I can't believe how some of these old, wooden coasters have been torn down and rebuilt elsewhere. That blows my mind. So, moving a steel one should be a breeze by comparison.
The problem though, with older Arrow coasters, is that the track is welded. You can't just loosen bolts and pack it up.

they moved the phenex at knobels, and there was anether one that was moved(it was steel)but i cant rember the name of it.
Batman:The Escape at Astroworld has moved twice w/in the SF chain. Both coasts and now Texas.
The old wooden Wildcat was moved from CP to either Valleyfair or Dorney-I forget which one.
Jumbo Jet was moved to some Mexican amusement park too.
Why did they paint Magnum blue and move to the Frontier Trail??????
I heard a guest say that last week.

It's not hard to move a carnival ride...regarding the Wildcat.
Everyone I said BIG roller coasters, and they must be STEEL

Six Flags ALWAYS does this...at SFGAm, they moved the Tidal Wave to SFoverGA to put in Batman at SFGAm. earlier on, they completely reprofiled the Turn of the Century into the Demon..added a vertical loop and a straightaway with a tunnel.
both of these rides were Arrow rides. SF has also removed from SFGAm Z-Force(went to Jersey i heard) and the Edge(also in Jersey)and Rolloing Thunder(even LAMER than DT, don't know where it went). out of all these, Z-Force and Tidal Wave were rather large steelies. Tidal Wave is now Viper, by the way...so it IS possible, but at CP, i think highly unlikely. look how they build the coasters in and around ecah other and the park..it all fits together like a puzzle...how else could MF blend in so well, like it's always been there??

can't believe they cancelled the Simpsons after all these years...now look sad and say D'OH!!
I want to know what the heck was the wooden wildcat??
